Branden BellHas anyone ever seen the words NO BUS on there display with all guages to the lowest position like they were off the mirror display off the volt guage was not fluctuating but opperating as usual check engine light on and the airbag light. I just put a yellow cap Optima in over the weekend so I figured it might have to do with that so I disconnected the power lead and reconnected it Basically reset the electrical and all was back to normal. But of course there is a problem somewhere. I think it might be the battery that has a short I may replace it with the stocker again to see if that fixes the problem then get another yellow cap. I know these Batteries are good there in all my cars but......

Todd CameronNo clue, didn't happen when I put in a Red Top.

Mike KrehelThe error message "NO BUS" refers to the data bus between the cars different computer control modules. It could have been a glitch since you indicated that it went away after you disconnected the battery, which is similar to re-booting your home PC.

I seriously doubt that the new Optima battery had anything to do with the message appearing. If the message should reappear, take your car directly to the dealer and have them look at the error codes with their DRB scan tool. Don't disconnect the battery again, because it will erase the codes.

fixummI have no bus (business) boy is it slow out their.

the one thing I have learned with car computers is when u take off a battery cable. always remove both of them and before you reinstall them touch the two to gather for five seconds and that usually clears any codes unless they are hard codes a hard code must be reset by dealer

Todd Cameronhehe Brandon... in my experience, most? Prowlers have some glitches small or big that the dealer needs to take care of. Usually around 4-6 K irons these out, assuimg the dealer does their job. I would suggest taking her to Fillmore as the other locals I've had bad luck with. BTW, as a side note, before I went to Fillmore I was ready to trade them all in for a Lambo, all because of sh**ty dealer service. DC are you listening?

Brian KingDC doesn't listen, don't you get it they don't care. They have sold their car and that is all they care about. If you read several of the last post, Transmission, Last Cat Auction.

Even when we are the very people who HELP sell ALL Chrysler products by taking the time to talk to those people who come to talk to us EVERY TIME we stop. They don't care, more Cat owners have problems with service then most other car owners I know.

I think we should tell people we love our cars but would not by any other Chrysler product. Word of mouth DC can put you in further then you think.

We are 11,000 angry SALES PEOPLE.

Larry LordHey Brian,,
Better count me out and just make that 10,999 angry sales people.
I've had nothing but excellent from DC and my local dealer. Any issues that I have had with my car have been repaired without any question and to my complete satisfaction. DC doesn't owe me a thing! I'm very happy that they produced a car like the Prowler and I'm even happier that I bought this modern day classic.
I guess either you get it or you don't.
CJBrian, make that 10,998. I've not had any problems with either one of my cats. Even though the Prowler was more of a specialized car that needed special training, what makes it any different than any other car by any other manufacturer? Cars are not perfect, never will be. Dealers aren't perfect, never will be. The dealer certainly had some responsibility to make sure they have qualified service people for the Prowler if they were going to sell it. It's not like DC didn't offer the training. If you can figure out a way for DC to be able to control 4600 dealers and how they conduct business in their stores, I'm sure they'd love to hear from you!!

Oh, yeah, I love all my other Chrysler products and my Jeep. Must be a lot of other people that do too, since we've handed out almost 40 Friends certificates to Prowler owners alone who've bought other Chrysler products. My sister and her husband who were diehard Ford buyers got fed up with all the problems they had with their Fords and have been buying Chrysler for several years now.

purplecatBrian,
Make that 10,997. Cars are machines, will have problems. People are people, will have opinions...

Issuues are generally solved by the diplomatic.

Have a number of vehicles, numerous manufacturers, issues arise with the vehicles, take them to dealer, if dealer does not fix it, makes it worse, or does not care I find another that has a sense of values, this goes for people as well.

MarineGunsBrian,

Make that 10,966. I've had MOPAR's in my stall since 1973 and never had a major problem. Like everyone else has said "its a machine" and things go wrong. I've been in the military for 27 years now and have travelled all over the world with my MOPAR's. I've seen some bad dealers with poor service but for the most part my experiences have been positive. If I find a bad one I don't go back and can always find a good one within the area. I just purchased a brand new '00 Prowler in February but have never seen it because I'm still in the Middle East. I hope it doesn't have any problems but if it does I'll understand and deal with it. I'm just happy to be an owner.

Howard

Brian KingLet's see if we can add the 730 satisfied names to the total production of the Prowlers. I said 11,000 unsatisfied for a reason, I know some will find ANY DC service outstanding.

I also think the Cat is a wonderful car and glad someone made it for ME to buy.

I am saying that follow-up service SUCKS, and it needs to develop a better service network.
