KarolinaKatI just had the MAC frame kit installed this morning. What a difference!!!!! Car felt noticeably more solid within the first 20 feet. Will update as more miles are accumulated

JUST JPKarolinaKat,

Does your Kat ride stiffer now, like the '97s? Can you give us a new update on how you like your frame kit? Thanks. Gary C, I think I'm at 20 now.

KarolinaKatUpdate on Mac frame supports.......Love IT. Kat handles like it's glued to the road. Suspension works. ride is stiffer but not rough.
MidlifeProwlerThere was mention on a previous post that by
stiffening the frame would caused another
part of the frame to deal with too much stress and possibly crack. Can someone
elaborate more on this. I think the braces
are great, but not at the expense of ruining
the frame. Is the frame designed to give a
little??
Todd BertrangI'm really curious about that and the ride, I would not want to do anything that causes the soft (if you call it that) ride to diminish any at all. While handling is nice, I mainly just cruise my cat (already given enough $ to the highway patrolmens fund for life)

butchceeTodd- I made my own front braces-still no rears. The braces seemed to have taken the sponginess out of the car that you don't even know is there until you install the braces.
BUT, I have noticed an increase in squeeks and rattles which might be expected in our car-as I said in another post-coincidence?

butchceeHope your lucky and dont get any, but my guess is that it's because it's still new.
Got one in the driver door, and the top rattle thing. I'll get it-maybe next year. Too cold to be screwing with things now! The noises started at about 3k-AL

Todd Bertrangyea, I JUST started to get a small squeak out of the top area when locked in place the day AFTER I made that post, started around 4500 miles, figures... maybe I should have kept my mouth shut Anyhow, Y2KRed told me at the local run he put vaseline around the little pins and it stoped for him. Going to have to try that trick and see what happenes.
