AND SNEAK A "PROWLERONLINE" WINDSHIELD BANNER IN AND INSTALL ON THE CAR This message has been edited by WildCat on 01-20-2006 at 09:47 AM [/B] Well....BOOOOHOOOO!!! LOL The Batmobile was purchased for $175,000 after a lengthy bidding battle where publishing magnate Robert E. Petersen emerged victoriously. He quickly indicated that the Batmobile would be a permanent part of the host museum. For a different exhibit, Petersen also purchased the KISS' 1999 Plymouth Prowler and Music Box trailer complete with three signed guitars for $140,000 that was custom built for the rock band's "Psycho Circus Tour This message has been edited by BeWare on 01-20-2006 at 10:20 AM More Info Never ones to miss a PR opportunity, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss (members of the band KISS), gave the KISSmobile away in a contest that attracted worldwide attention. Originally titled to KISS Motors Limited, the 300th Prowler built was given to the skilled craftsmen at MetalCrafters state-of-the-art facility to do their magic. Fitted with a high-output 3.5 litre V-6 engine and finished in Black Crystal, the Prowler body was fabricated with front and side ground effects, custom grille with chrome inserts, moulded hood louvers, rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light and a custom rear lower valance. Interior accessories were added along with the word KISS embroidered in the driver and passenger seats. A remote 10disc CD changer was located in a customized trailer. The matching KISS Music Box Customized Trailer had a wireless remote controlled opening device to reveal three custom compartments for Simmons, Frehley and Stanley's guitars. Musical instruments components installed include a 12 channel mixing console, stereo power amp, cordless microphone and receiver unit, multi effects unit, Boss drum machine and a Marshall guitar rack mount amplifier. This message has been edited by BeWare on 01-20-2006 at 04:26 PM They also included images of the car in a video used during that tour. Seeing the video ultimately made me buy a Prowler for my own. Kevin Kees ------------------ If memory serves (it was during the Reunion Tour), the song was "Do You Love Me?". KevinWildCat I know from time to time people ask about this Prowler. It seem for a high profile car it gets lost in the cracks. I read today it will be on display at the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles, CA. Mike Krehel Should have, could have, didn't. ALLEY CAT Mike - I have enough cars to clean in the museum already,,,,,,NO MORE! Snoman quote:

The KISS Prowler, a custom built vehicle created to promote the world famous rock band's Psycho Circus tour, was a collaboration between the members of "KISS", McGhee Entertainment the rock band's manager, and TGF MetalCrafters Inc, a leading concept car builder for the DaimlerChrysler Corporation.jim des A couple of months ago, along with other members of the museum, I had the opportunity to visit the Petersen "vault". It's a closed to the public basement restoration center. Only open to museum members on one night, every couple of years. I was able to see and touch what were probably 75 great cars in various stages of restoration. Several million dollars in value I'm sure. Among many great cars, classics, celebrity cars, etc. I saw the yellow Pantera that Elvis owned and shot a hole in and the KISS prowler. The KISS car was tucked away in a dark corner gathering a ton of dust and dirt. Other than being filthy dirty the car was way cool with all of the tricked out modifications both inside and out. jkburns As was mentioned earlier, KISS gave away the Prowler as a special promotion for their "Psycho Circus" album/tour. GenoTex Kev..........do you know which song it was that featured this car in the video? Thx buddy GenoTex kees jkburns Let me clarify, they used a computer graphic (CG) image on a big screen during their live concert. GenoTex thx
