Well the weather has been absolutely beautiful and warm in a Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Until this morning, getting ready for an early morning drive to Biltmore Estates and the weatherman got it right yesterday, 100% chance of rain Oh well it is an official event rain and all . the Tradition Lives On! ------------------ Here it is the end of October 2014 and there has yet to be any event photo's posted tor the year. Posting photo's in this section makes it much easier to find them as time goes on. JMO I don't think you were there when I said the average age of a Challenger owner is 70 or 71. .catfish remember texas, rained every day.for a minute i thought i was back in chitown,a great place to live,if you can take the rotten weather, after 46 years i had enough of that. ed monahan It is 8:20 and it looks like the rain is almost over. Just a light drizzle now.
On a much brighter note, we had a POA Event FIRST on Monday.
Possum9 proposed to his girlfriend at the waterfall and she was totally shocked and happy. Pretty cool place to get engaged. Congratulations to Bill and Pat.
I forgot to post this the other night but I have had a few details to take care of from time to time.
Tuesday was another great day, the train ride was fabulous.
I hope Norm posts a couple of his pictures of the trestle.
The train made a loop around the top of the mountain and we went under the trestle and then over the trestle, making a full loop. It didn't feel like we were turning very hard at all. I think they said we were 350 feet higher when we went over the trestle. Norm has some killer shots out the back of the train. alrtg It would be great to have some photos posted in the "Events Scrapbook" of this event. Gort Better high tail it back to Tennessee! Possum9 Pat wanted to thank everyone, this was her first event and she enjoyed meeting everyone. Even though we could only do a few days. We both had a great time and we thank you all for some great memories, and we plan on seeing everyone again next year or sooner. Fantastic job organizing event and Ed thank you for the waterfall advise. We will post some pic's. ed monahan You are quite welcome, of course, and we are glad you came to the event. I think you hit a home run with Pat. She seems extremely nice. I hope to see you guys at a future event or two. ed monahan Dave and Nancy Ridge showed up today, along with Golfboy and his wife Nancy. We haven't seen Gort since Sunday.
Gary Schottnaur (? spelling) showed up on Tuesday from Fla but we haven't seen him since the train trip.
There were quite a few new folks at the event, a lot had never been to the Smoky Mtns or ridden the Tail of the Dragon but there were quite a few "old timers" here also.
The weather was nice again, today, but cool. Wednesday was the rainy day.
I can't believe it will be over in just 6 hours. It really flew by. galaxie Hey Ed, you callin me an old timer............I guess I am. padroo quote:

Kenney all have Challengers. Jim was offended, he is only 62. He needs to take better care of himself like the rest of us so he looks younger. lolgolfboy I have never had my Kat on a long road trip and I worried that it might not make it to Tenn. and then back to Florida so I did not plan to go. But at the last minute my wife and I decided to take a chance and try it. We only had three days to fit the trip into, so we left Florida on Wednesday, got to Pigeon Forge that evening, went the host hotel on Thursday morning to meet the group and take pictures of all the Prowlers, and then left for Florida after lunchtime. A long trip in a short time, but well worth it. We had the pleasure to meet Ed Monahan and Sandy, RPL and CJ, Tom Mills, Garysss, Mike Gatlin and others at the hotel and in the parking lot. As for my Kat, I needn't have worried, it ran flawlessly for the whole trip (1500 miles) and now we are looking forward to some future Prowler gatherings. Don and Nancy. garysss Don it was great meeting you and Nancy. You are very excited and proud of your Prowler. Glad you made the trip safely and wish you could have stay a little longer. Look forward to seeing you both at another rally. wallygator310 Yeah, we almost had a quadruple....heat, cold, rain and snow! BeWare Golf boy, next time I see your Prowler I half expect to see the Punisher on your deck lid. I really enjoyed talking with you and your wife. golfboy quote:
Beware, I don't know about that. It might be a little over the top for most people. But you have planted the seed in my mind. LOL.
