agstonerI think I have the luggage rack worked out and I will have at least one in Detroit. I am looking for a new project. Does anyone have a suggestion? My wife has suggested ceramic tile in the bathroom and redesigning and rebuilding the back deck but neither one of these projects has "grabbed me" She also offered to do that but I don't think she means it the way she used to mean it.

I'm thinking along the lines of a metal grill or a stainless trailer hitch or open to suggestions!

IF SOMEONE HAS A SPARE GRILL I CAN BORROW AND IF SOMEONE CAN SPEND SOME TIME WITH ME IN DETROIT SO I CAN GET A SENSE OF HOW IT MUST FIT THE GRILL PROJECT HAS POTENTIAL.
I WOULD NEED THE GRILL FOR NO MORE THAN 30 DAYS AND I WOULD ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. IT COULD EVEN BE A SLIGHTLY DAMAGED ONE DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION AND EXTENT OF DAMAGE.

BeWare I would like to see a chrome grille very similar in style to the one on our Kat but the entire grille would be chrome plated metal. Possibly the vertical bars closer together.

JohnCI'd also like to suggest a grill, but something that takes up the entire opening. I don't care for the grills with a two-inch painted bezel all around them. I want to see the vertical bars go from top to bottom, all the way across. I realize that the vertical bars need some sort of frame to mount to, but it doesn't need to be much.

SkullrodderNose protectors!!!! There seems to be alot of intrest in these and they are impossible to buy.
99prowler99I would have to agree. Nose protecters that are similar to what realrod put out.
whaleI am in agreement with John C. I even thought about making a painted metal grill instead of chrome. I have no chrome on the front of my car and I prefer the chromeless look.
LDIt seems for the most part, everyone like's mods for the outside...thou I've done quite a lot to mine on the outside, I'm still open for a few more changes there...but I'd like to see something for the inside...especially behind the seats, like "Real Rod" did for the speaker enclosures...Reds5 sold one on e-bay last week...the only one I've ever seen...I'd really like to dress up this area with something along that idea...

Something like this? This is my favorite grille of all. However construction quality on these varied from good to very lousey. They were also over priced were not available for very long.

blackcatThe grille like Rich just posted.......
JohnCNow that's what I'm talking about!

And like Whale said, I too like the painted look. I don't really care much for all the bling. Like I mentioned in another thread, all that shine looks too much like an after-thought to me. I like the subdued A-arms, the color matched grill, etc. I want the car to be recognized for more than the sum of its parts; I want the whole thing to be appreciated as a whole, not a catalog queen.

wallygator310I'd like to see someone make a stainless center cover for the rear wheel rotor. Punch one of those babies out real quick if you have the tooling!

Wally

agstonerAnyone in Detroit who has nose protectors and interesting grill treatments- Please look me up! (804)564-2379. I will take lots of photos. If Real Rod( I don't expect to see more of his become available) has a nose protector design that mounts properly and we can build something similar I would like to see them. Again, PLEASE STOP BY! I will arrive early Thursday morning.

Regarding REAL ROD- I do not wish to compete with him if he is going to launch a recovery but- I see no evidence of that happening.

KlasKatHere's a thought. The driver's side seat has a way to make it higher or lower. The shot gun side has nothing to do that. My wife is only 5'2" and has to set on a pillow to see out the window. I would love to see some type of lift kit for the rider's seat. I think it was really cheap of them to just put on one side and not both.
calliegroI think you should remake the existing grille in polished stainless, chrome or maybe even black chrome. The horizontal lines fit better with the front of the Kat than vertical lines.

galaxieHi guys, My partner & myself are in process of designing a nose protector right now for the Prowler. He does a lot of custom work. I hope to have a prototype to bring to Woodward. I think all will like the design.....Mac

You can get a threaded rod from a hardware store and a turnbuckle type nut and just add an inch or two. It is metric threads. Pretty simple and very inexpensive to do.

phil2237Check the Prowler store for the nose protector, This is the best one I have seen yet.
