whyleeWOW, someone will get a mint Prowler.
NRVOUSDon't think I would want to pay a premium for something that low mileage. I see one's with under 10k for good buy's. Unless the car was stored properly you could be in for some headaches with such a low mileage car.

EssexExportI know a local business owner who said he has a '99 Red with 41 miles on it.
NRVOUSI wonder what the lowest, and highest mileage Prowler is.

idiveI would guess TUIB and Mike K. would be in the running for the lowest. Waynew would be in the running for the highest.
NRVOUSHow much mileage do they have?

nitrosteveI have a friend in Ontario Ca. His 1997 Prowler has 7 miles on it. That is the lowest I know of or have ever seen. It is on a lift at his business.
NRVOUSWOW! Now that's low! What did he do push it home, lol

prowlerFreekFor years I used to think it was cool to have a low mileage prowler, but after finally owning one for a few months, I see no reason to just "store" this car. It's not like it's an investment. Get out there and drive the damn thing.

Yeah sure, keep the miles low, but don't just let it sit. It's doing more harm than good in my opinion.

I'm sorry but if I knew someone that had a Prowler with that many miles on it today, I would be tempted to laugh in their face, call them an idiot, then proceed to chastise them for being so stupid, but then again I truly believe that cars were built to be driven.

My Prowler had 13,800 miles on it when I got it about three and a half years ago, today it has 33,500 (plus or minus) miles on it. Yes I drive it.

Greg and VetaI was just looking for an online add that I had posted here several months ago from a local high end car dealer. He had a gold Prowler that belonged to the local Chrysler dealer. The car had 7 or 9 miles, don't remember which. I saw the car in their showroom. They were asking $49,900.

I think Mike posted several years back the mileage on (at least some) of his cars. I think TUIB did too. He drove (most of) his very little. Several years of ownership & he posted they still had stock gas in them. Wayne hit over 100K on his several years ago. There's 2 or 3 others with over 100K on them that I'm aware of.

He bought it from Ontario Chrysler Plymouth and they actually delivered it to his house about 4 miles away on a flatbed, it went into the garage and up on the lift and has never been driven, how very sad, because he can't and probably never will get what he paid for it. He does lower it and do the service on it every 6 months. With the dealer added markup on the '97 cars he paid $74,000 with tax and license. That's a lot of money for a car that he has never driven. He believed it would be worth a bundle in 10 or so years, but it has been 15 and it hasn't happened. What a waste of a beautiful car, I have a standing offer of $40,000 but he says he will never sell it for less than he paid for it, I believe he will own it for a long time! He says it gives him pleasure just looking at it, I can see that but not driving it is something I don't understand. To each his own.

EdsCatYup. I now have 143,271 miles on mine, and I'm just about to go out put some more on.

When I first got the Cat, I started watching the miles as I put them on. I finally decided that was crazy. I put a piece of black tape over the odometer for awhile until I got over that. Some of the best hours in my life are in that car. Crazy not to drive them. Not only does it make my day, people go absolutely insane over it. Not fair to the public to keep it locked away. GO FOR IT!

NRVOUSThat's a lot of mileage! Great to see these cars go that many miles. What maintenance have you done to keep it going that long?

EdsCatWell, I don't wait until something goes bad to replace it. I had the transmission rebuilt (with heavier duty disks for the 5.0) at 120,000 miles. I had 82,500 on the car when I did the 5.0 conversion, so got about 60,000 miles on the 5.0.

When things break - anything breaks - I try to get it fixed immediately. That is a lesson I learned the hard way as I was growing up. A little something wrong here. A little something wrong there. And, pretty soon, I had a pile of junk to drive.

Watching POA forums is invaluable. I've gotten so much information and help from POA members over the 11 years I've been on here. I credit that for keeping me rolling also!

I plan on keeping it forever. Nothing out there for any money would replace it as far as I'm concerned. Driving it until I die...

ed monahanI've got about 53,000 on the Candy. I had 50,000 on the first 99 Red. I can always buy a low mileage one when I wear another one out. I am already old, no sense saving anything.
I defy anyone to tell me that they have as much enjoyment looking at their car as we had on the five day drive to Las Vegas.
Keep the mileage low for me boys, I may need another one before I die.
Mine are priceless at this point.
