padroo | Do you do R/C airplanes? I have toyed with the idea but have never gone any further. I used to work on real airplanes but that was a long time ago. |

SirReal | Padroo-Yes I have and have to say I can crash them and get them stuck in trees with the best of the worst. Lol I currently have 10 R/C helicopters. The first six were trainers ahem and now set on the shelf The other four have survived me and I finally am comfortable with them. I flew them over a train/town layout that I built for the kids at our community Christmas party and am pleased to announce no child was harmed. Not a single crash the kids were amazed and so was I I find flying R/C to be very thereputic especially now. You really should try it. Bush Hog foam planes from Radio Shack are a great entry. They are very durable. From there the sky is the limit. You worked on real planes-Very cool! Thanks for stopping by, Jeff |
SirReal | Catfish- You are quite welcome. It is amazing how far they have come. The video display and the moving pilot in the Mig blew me away. Glad you enjoyed it! |
padroo | I don't know if I would ever have the coordination to fly a R/C airplane. I guess it is all about practice. |

bjprowler | Watching this, it's hard to remember that there are still parts of the world where the primary source of transportation is a camel and people live in grass huts....... Fascinating! This message has been edited by bjprowler on 12-28-2013 at 10:30 AM |
MDProwler | Just dont fly them in the garage with the Prowler! |
EdsCat | That is incredible footage. I used to fly 'control line' planes back in mid-1950's. Stand in the middle and fly them in a circle. Limited things you could do with them, but still fun. Radio controlled models were just arriving on the scene. Talk about limited control! Up/Down/Left/Right - by the number of pulses you sent. The planes just sometimes kept on going off into the distance. I was always better at building them than flying them. Great video! |
