ed monahanMy granddaughter is a Freshman at the U of Cincinnati and they were chosen to represent the USA in the world dancing competition.
They WON the world championship for the second year in a row (her first year). She made the varsity as a freshman.
Competition was yesterday and today, I THINK. She only dances in Pom but not Hip-Hop. They came in first in both.
She starts just right of center in the front. She is the first one on bended knee on the right and then goes to the last one on the left. She does a no hand flip about a minute in and she is on the right at that point.

Here is a horrible picture of her. I have no idea what happened with her left eye in the picture.

I also have no idea why the picture is turned 90 degrees.

MIKE GATLINThat is quite a distinction. And some mighty athletic dancing. Those kids must put in crazy practice time to be that good. You should be proud.
padrooThey did a nice job, I see why they won, you must be proud.

She will remember this high spot in her life forever.

CJImpressive!! Congrats to all of the team!!!
mr.edWay to go!!!
ed monahanThanks. She has been dancing since she was little. I had no idea U C was such a powerhouse. They don't get any local coverage and it is impressive how good they are.
George JohnsonCongrats Ed...what an accomplishment!!
garysssCool!! Lots of practice there.
galaxieCool, congrats
robinMust have learned some moves from Grandpa somewhere along the line.....lol
That is a great start to a wonder future.
Memories that will last a life time.
Good luck to her and her team in the future events. robin
tangled up in BLUE...congrats, beautiful young lady

...and I noticed she still has all her hair

padrooI think she deserves one of ed's spare Prowlers for that performance, what do ya think?
ed monahanHer and her sister both prefer the motorcycles. Although the younger one was gushing over the Challenger the other night.
When she was about 4 or 5 she finally discovered I was bald. I guess I was too tall for her to see the top of my head or I had a hat on most of the time. She kept saying, "where is your hair grandpa?" I told her it fell out. I guess she thought it all came out at once and she asked me about 5 or 6 times. Finally I told her to go check the drain in her dad's shower. He has some hair loss but not bald and he is 46.
She just started at UC in Sept. and took a 5 hour Calculus class the first semester. Her dad advised taking a 3 hour class but she said she had it covered. Both girls are real go-getters and work hard. They must take after their mother's side, is the only thing I can figure.
Randy CobbCongrats Ed1
You have reason to be proud.
