Her goes… Wind is a difficult thing with the Prowler ride (Certainly after 60 mph, even with an Air Patrol)… I noticed that when I raised the Sun Visors and lock them in place (I did this with a piece of wood that held both visors about 3 inches above the windshield just for a trial run) that the air lift was such that even at 75 mph it was a very comfortable ride… Ok.. that said, the idea is, someone making a product that “Looks good” like the aftermarket Sun Roof Rain & Wind protectors you see on cars. This would attach along the top of the windshield (Could be attached by the sun visor existing mounting holes) and stretches along the width of the top of the windshield. It would raise the air enough (Much like the visor do until the wind force knocks the down)… Just an idea… call me crazy if you like….. I understand what you are talking about . Rob This message has been edited by robin on 05-08-2015 at 05:19 PM I think I need to look in to that seat lowering kit too, that may help some as well ...the wind is what I live for ...the wind is what I live for Just drive around in reverse!! I think I need to look in to that seat lowering kit too, that may help some as well Rob Richnew41 Hi Everyone… I have an idea but leave it up to those that think it might be a good idea and or bad (Worth a conversation)
The previous post was awesome to see all the awesome products made for the prowler (All of you that have come up with this stuff are genius) Efrem 72 ?????? Gort Have you ever seen this before? Photos, drawings, etc. I can't really picture how this would be mounted. beachcat Dear crazy. I like this thinking outside the box. Maybe you could modify the sun visors so they will stay up somehow. robin A piece of dark plexiglass.
Attached either with the sun visor hardware or something that could clamp on safely.
Not to put down a product but I have heard the Air patrol works poorly.
The windsurpressor seems to be the best offered at this time.
My wife's Saab has a sun roof with A visor that pops up when opened.
I deflects the windup and out quietly.
My Buick allure doesn't have this visor and the wind enters the car and makes noise.
Efrem you don't know what we are talking about .
You can't get up to speed in your sisters drive way to experience wind issues. Lol
So no laughing at the people who drive.Efrem 72 Rob i wasn’t even thinking on how it would function mainly how hidious it would look Drew There's a lot of envious motorcycle riders out there who would love to feel the wind buffeting their heads again. padroo I normally don't travel the Interstates with the top down and rarely go over 55 around town and have never even noticed the air problem. I bought my Prowler because it is a convertible. jmo beachcat It might be ugly Richnew Weezy I think the idea is sound, but also not sure how it would look - but then that's one of the questions, right? I'm just shy of 6'3" and the wind on my head is actually a bit much even at 40 mph. If someone made a wind suppressor that really worked, I'd be interested! Not sure how well the suppressors work that are discussed on the forums, seems to have had mixed reviews. I keep my sunvisors tilted up and it does help.. a little.. tangled up in BLUE ...I get 2 haircuts a year, one in May for convertible weather, the other in December so Santa won't be afraid to visit ALLEY CAT quote:

Weezy, definitely get the seat lowering kit. You will sit three inches lower and not have the issues of the wind or looking through the windshield header. One of the best mods out there. JMO.
