But,this gives you something to read with your coffee. Took my cat to dealer for my 7:30 appt. Remember, I called girl advisor to get with tech, to make sure they had lock-ring removal tool, and to call me if not. No call. Showed up at 7:10. Asked advisor, if they had the tool, because I did not get a return phone call. "Oh yeah" she says. "We don't get that many Prowlers in, but I am sure we have what it takes". Soooo, as not to be an ass, and hang over tech, I walked car lot. 30 minutes later, Advisor says that I need a new lock ring, because the teeth broke off of mine, and they can't get it off. I asked the tech to show me "The special tool that he used", ten minutes later, he comes back with a tool, and says "It looks kinda like this". Really? If you just used it 3 minutes ago, show me. Ordered new lock ring, put the cat back together. Went to AUTOZONE, rented the complete tool kit FOR FREE, paid a Tech at a small independent shop here $80, using my rented tool. (He only asked for $40!!). All went well. Locking ring has 5 teeth missing, where I am sure tech used a screwdriver and a hammer! Needless to say, although I dropped off my resume with the S/M for Advisor position, I think I just burned that bridge!! First burn-out I have ever done with my cat...... (Andy) 1of1576 Also, I need to give BIG KUDO'S to John Collins (onecatnodog), for doing a great job doing the actual "pump-in-housing" swap, and to Buddy Collins (1buddyc), Well, he knows why. (Andy) 1of1576 ^bump^ onecatnodog Andy was able to rent this at a auto parts store and he wanted me to post up a image of it that he sent me... onecatnodog 1of1576 Autozone rented it to me for free! Part#27160. The metal, adjustable lock ring tool worked perfect, even with some of the plastic teeth broke off. Andy ed monahan Just another example of why the POA is the best website on the internet. John Collins re-enforces our faith in our fellow POA members. Well done.
