Rare1 | I have always thought I had Parking lights in the front bumper assembly! I have just realized I donīt! Do I have a problem? Mikael
|
Bob Goetz | If the car was a export car it should have them, the part number to make them work is 4373690AB |
Rare1 | I am not talking about the Daytime running light, but only ordinary parking light. Is this what you mean also, Bob? If so, what does this "partnumber" do? I need parking lights up front, I only have them in the front side markers today. Maybe I can drill a hole in the front turn signal "bucket", attach a bulb socket and hook it up with the side marker wiring? What do you think? Mikael |

Are your bumpers off. The parking light and directional signals are all in one in the bumper?

01Prowler | The lights in the front bumper assemblies are park, and turn signals..... If those are the lights you are talking about then yes you do have a problem.... Do your turn signals flash at the normal speed???? Are your front side markers dimmer than normal with your lights on? Ron |
Rare1 | My side markers are working normally. Bumper assembly has been relocated to inside the grill, and the turnsignal are working fine. I noticed there are three wires going into the assembly, which one is for the parking light? I think I better start "chasing" it!Mikael |

Rare1, I would check the bulbs first.

01Prowler | I had the same problem when I took my front bumpers off.. Well, actually I didn't have the problem till I put them back on..My turn signals would flash improperly, as well as the side markers were really dim, when the park lights weren't working.. I'd check the bulbs first... Since my Kat is gone I can't tell you which wire is which, perhaps someone with a shop manual will be able to look it up for you... I'm curious to hear what you find out... Good Luck! Ron |
pumpkin | Rare 1, are your parking light working yet. You can check out #8 fuse or the park lamp relay. I have the test procedures which is 6 pages long. We can scan in the pages for you if you want . Let us know. |
Rare1 | Thankīs for your suggestions! This is on my list for "winter" jobs, which I prepare during summer for all my cars, so I have not yet started the work. The instruction to check the relay, can that be found in the Service Manual, which I have? Mikael

What we have access to is a technical manual - '99 Prowler Body Diagnotic and Power Train. Not sure if the same info is in the Service Manual. |
Rare1 | Pumpkin, I see if I can find it in the Service Manual, if needed. If I canīt find it, I ill be back and hopefully you can send it to me? Mikael |
