KrautThe really dirty part of the job is finally behind me. I still have to lay a skim coat of Bondo over the fenders in order to make them really smooth for painting. Laying up fiberglass is a nasty job and makes a huge mess. It is also a good idea to do it outdoors, since the odors are not very pleasant.

I did this stuff in my heated garage, but am going to wait till I get down Florida before doing the finish work. What do you think of them?

This is how I trimmed the inside radius of the rear fenders in order to have them be true to the centerline of the axle. A quick and dirty little jig made the job really easy. It took only about 30 seconds per fender to cut the radius.

The front fenders are also laminated with fiberglass inside and out, but still need the Bondo skim coat.

ed monahanThat thing will sell at Barrett-Jackson for about $ 10,000 when you get finished with it. Looking good, as usual.
SimonsezGreat job...as usual!
Marty UsherIf you used '39 Ford teardrop tail lights it would like the rear of my old Prowler!

Wayne FinchRainer, I want that thing when you get kicked out of the neighborhood after laying down the rubber. Outstanding workmanship

KrautI've got her loaded on the trailer for the trip to Florida, so nothing more will happen till I get there. I'm hoping to get the body completely finished and ready for paint while I'm down there for the winter. May or may not get it painted there. It just depends on my progress and the availability of a good paint shop.

It's been a long and arduous project, so I'm looking forward to having it finally completed at some point soon.
