onecatnodogCheck out my post under Upcoming Events...Story and Pictures to follow....Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....
onecatnodogLooks like sunshine at least for now. So off to the races I go, hope I'm not the only one as I'm sure the Vipers will be out in force... Pictures and story to follow later.
onecatnodogThis is why you should bring you Prowler to Bandimere for the Viper/Prowler shoot-out, Andrew's Prowler took home the trophy with CASH. The last two cars standing in the Viper/Prowler shoot/out Andrew's Prowler and John's Viper... Rain canceled the event so both went home winners and split the $200.00 and each got a first place trophy...
onecatnodogGreat day at least it started that way. Andrew showed up from the Colo. Spring in his red Prowler. Marc showed up in his stroker purple Prowler. Me in the black Prowler. So it was 3 against 9 and we sent them packing...What fun!
onecatnodogMarc was playing Santa again, Giving away Mini Purple Prowlers to the youngsters, and they loved it....
onecatnodogI still remember the lil guy talking about his toy Prowler when I let him set in the car for a photo shoot.
onecatnodog Turned all these people on to Prowleronline.com so here is your picture for checking out our Super Site.. onecatnodog
onecatnodogBack to our contestants... Marc's Purple was the fastest in the bunch with a 14.00 sec. dial in with traction problems... Don't forget were at mile high here in Denver so that would be low 13 anywhere else.

onecatnodogFastest Viper was a blown Hemi running low 7's thank goodness we didn't have to run against him. Most of the Vipers were running 12.00 to 13.00's that we were racing
onecatnodogPlenty of snakes to feed on the kats. We made them think different after the first few rounds. As the Prowlers did all the tree trimming and let the dead branches fall to the wayside.
onecatnodogSure would have been nice to have more than 3 Prowlers there... Oh well, we run what we brung and all had fun.
onecatnodogThanks for all that showed and made this a fun event, as this was a NO BULL Shoot-Out. To end up in a tie was something special for both as John in his Viper had won it the last two years in a row and Andrew in his Prowler won it in 2000. Thanks P.O.A. and it's lurkers.... onecatnodog
Marty UsherLooks like a fun day. Glad to hear everyone enjoyed themselves. Be sure to post next time you all go to the track, my daughter is moving to Denver and loves the drag races!
mcrealtyLet's see some time!!!
onecatnodog Marty: Is your daughter old enough to drive that she could race a automatic car? I will P.M. you my phone number and hook her up with some tickets when she gets here...onecatnodog... Mcrealty: I still have mine and can scan them and post it for you in the next day or so. Marc will have the fastest ones maybe if he still has his and reads this post Santa Marc will show his time slips... Nothing like going fast with out the fear of getting a TICKET.
IM IN XTCWell ... Looks like it was fun and we missed it .. Lawndog and I ended up in San Diego as two of the judges for the PT Cruiser car show competition and that is why we didn't make ... and don't forget ...yellow is fastest

Lindsay is 21 and has raced my (former) Prowler at 3 drag strips. Her best time was 13.492 at The Prowler Drags in Louisiana that Laddie hosted in 2005.

I'll let you know when she makes the move.

Thanks

onecatnodogMcrealty: Here is my time slips, I'm John(onecatnodog)Collins. I own a stock 1999 Black Prowler and my dial in time was 16.4 and the car runs right around there. Marc. with the stroker 5.0 from Deans shop ran in the low 14s don't forget were at a mile high so if you adjust for altitude you take a sec. off of that. Andrew and I was there and we did see him run that time. Because of the snow Dean was unable to attend as he lives on the other side of the mountain, but they do have a Grand Junction Colo. Mopar and I will try to make that to report on his car. It's even faster than Marc.

Snoman SWEET John!!!!!!!!
onecatnodogLooks like I have something to add to this post. After begging Marc to post his time slip from the Drag Day Event and he being so modest and not wanting to, I asked him again for a E.T. slip at the Wings over the Rockies Event and he gave me one. His car was number 129 as you can see on his window in the pictures posted. Not only was his Prowler the fastest of the Prowlers, running in the 14.2 and faster range all on the stroker motor not even using the N.O.S that it has and YES he has gone faster in it but check out his reaction time .004 Remember this is at a MILE HIGH that would put him in the low 13s high 12s at sea level. Great Job Marc.
