idiveI am looking for the curb weight for my 97 Prowler. I know curb weight is listed in the Facts and Stats, but that is for the 99, which touted more horses pulling a lighter car. The weight on my registration is a rounded estimate. I remember seeing what my curb weight is somewhere, but I can't remember where. Can anyone help me out?

I hope the weight listed for a '97 in the link are more accurate than the listed fuel tank capacity!?

....
Curb Weight: 2832
Tires: P225/45R-17/P295/40R-20
Brakes, f/r: disc/disc
Fuel Capacity: 20.0

Unless otherwise indicated, specifications refer to test vehicle.
All prices are manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) effective as of March 03, 1997. www.plymouthcars.com

FL PhilThe 1997 brochure has the curb weight of 2,800- 2,900 lbs.
idiveThanks Butchcee for the links. I don't think the info is too acurate tho. The weight difference shown is only 6 lbs different than the 99, per facts and stats? The top speed shows 117, but I've had mine to 127 with room to go. The RPM's in the HP/torque specs are different than what my manual shows.
I also noticed the 20 gallon gas tank info in the 2nd link. That link indicated it may be info on a test vehicle and was updated info as of 3-3-97. Might be info on the concept vehicle.
I thought I had seen the actual weight in the owners manual or service manual, but couldn't find it in either one.
bbcarA Issue of Car&Driver Oct. 96 with a road test on a real 97
Prowler shows the curb weight at 2832 and fuel capacity of 12.0 gal of fuel.
it showed a et of 15.6 at 87mph and a top speed of 117. I went to a mustang website that has a calculator for et and speed to hp and by adding 200 lbs for driver an a few pounds for fuel I came up with about 160 at the rear wheels. I think that is the same as 99 and newer Kats are getting on the dyno stock? I have also read on this site of a 2000 kat racing a 97 and only beating it by half a car.
I wonder if the two engines are really closer in hp than DC says.

idiveThanks Barry. I guess 2832 it is then. I would have thought there to be more of a weight difference. At the stampede, I raced Buddy Collins. We're both about the same build. I don't know what year his is (99+) but I had a slight lead on ET (.3), but worse reaction time (his .7584 to my .9911) to make up some of the difference. Was a good even race, but he took me by a nose. His 15.2211 to my 15.4139. He was .1211 off his dial in, I was .0139 off mine.
