"Introducing Stellantis. Talk to your doctor before using Stellantis as side effects may include model redundancy, the overwhelming urge to apply Dodge badges to Peugeot crossovers, and weak stream". http://www.yahoo.com/autos/company-formerly-known-chrysler-now-193800226.html This message has been edited by Tomcal on 07-15-2020 at 07:03 PM There is a company in Florida that makes the convertible Challengers.....more convertible cars have been done aftermarket for years, many I was suprised wasn't factory. But factory authorized ASC History: This message has been edited by padroo on 07-16-2020 at 10:13 AM My concern with this merger is that the focus of the new company, headed by Peugeot's CEO John Elkann, will be marketing Peugeots in the US via badge engineering. Peugeot probably did the same market research that Renaut did and learned that Americans will not buy a French-brand badged car. Thus this issue, and lots of Nissans with French DNA. If the Prowler was the last thing on the mind of FCA management, it may not even be a product that Elkann even knows exists... In process: The finished car (I like the improvement): ------------------ The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche. Do ya mean that I have to put the "Ship" emblem back on? Oh man, I am running out of time for projects this weekend! Doc B,,, I'd suggest not to even think about it.. Customer Reports just rated Alfa Romeo built by manufacturer Stellantis > This Car Brand Was Ranked Worst in America Tomcal The company formerly known as Chrysler is now Stellantis...... ed monahan I saw a new Challenger convertible being hauled on a trailer yesterday. Dark blue with a white soft top. Lake City sticker and the trailer had Fla plates.
I don't know if it was factory or after market?WildCat quote:

I don't know if it was factory or after market?RPL There's a company in Florida that has been doing Challenger convertibles since they launch. My guess is aftermarket and the same shop.. ed monahan Thanks for the info. I thought that was the case since I never heard of a new convert but I wasn't sure. It looked good. padroo It is fairly common for manufacturers to contract out convertible conversions and in the day sunroof.
I have a 1983 Buick Rivera convertible and it was done by
American Sunroof Corp, the Rivera convertible sold for $30,000 in 1983.
Back in that era GM executives could have a company car and Caddilac was the one they usually took but in 1983 Cadillac had no convertibles so they took Rivera convertibles.
In 1984 Cadillac made the Eldarado convertible.
http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/a/asc/asc.htm quincy Crazy new name....who thinks this stuff up? metschers Sounds like a prescription for diabetes or a viagra knock-off.......lol garysss It is going to have a lot of side effects! Dave Mills STELLANTIS is rooted in the Latin verb “stello” meaning “to brighten with stars”. ... The name's Latin origins pay tribute to the rich history of its founding companies while the evocation of astronomy captures the true spirit of optimism, energy and renewal driving this industry-changing merger. FormerDodgeGuy Once upon a time when I did a brief stint at Cadillac, we used to send El Dorado's down to Coach Builders in FL to have them made into convertibles. I went there for a visit. Mind blowing. It was a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds with blow torches and big patterns. Literally the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life. Just chopping up cars like a chop shop. The finished product wasn't bad, but watching it happen was like watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first time. drbutton drbutton With all of this optimism, it is once time to change the hood ornament...before: CJ For me, I will always call it Chrysler and Plymoth
