bettyboopHi Guys - what price are Prowler front ball joints in the USA ?
jimsuttonCheck on Ebay they are on there from time to time ..Hope this helps You ???
catfishyou cannot buy the ball joint alone, you must buy the whole control arm,if its not discontinued.

------------------

idiveJan isn't FOS this time. You had to buy the whole arm assembly when they performed the recall on the lower ball joints.
Do you need uppers? Lowers? Or both?
catfishyour a fiing *******,when you find those ball joints or dont ,let me know *******,why dont you call a dealer, theres your answer.n/a

------------------

catfishjust talked to my parts pro at mopar, you must buy the whole arm to get the ball joint, whos full of **** now.

------------------

idiveDear fiing *******, when you pyhooya, do your own search on here and post back if anyone out there has ever found, located, and/or purchased any front ball joints by themselves without the arm attached to them. I know for a fact that several purchased them to do the recall work themselves. NOW who's the fiing *******?
RPLHave the dealer order the lower ball joint recall kit. Two joints & nuts.
catfishper 3 other mopar dealers the joint is no longer available was once, but not anymore.post photos of the new joint when you have it in your hand.only available when you buy a a-arm.

------------------

bettyboopThanks for the help. The lower ball joints are for my 1997 model. The local Chrysler dealer quoted $2500-00 for each of the lower control arms. What is the recall kit ? and is it applicable to my car ? I have a friend in Los Angeles who can buy the relevant parts if any one can suggest either a part number or appropriate dealer to go to.
Mr.McgooI believe when I purchased my polished a-arms from a guy in PA, butchee he gave me a few boxes of ball joints in case.

I better hurry up and send my original a-arms and knuckles to Gary for chroming before he retires...

bjprowlerHas the ball joint recall been done on your Prowler yet?

If it has not been done you should be able to get them replaced for free. (I assume the 97's were recalled for ball joint replacement as were the later years)

If you are unsure if the recall has already been done call a Chrysler dealership and give them the VIN number...They can tell you instantly.

.....Or go to this website and check for the recall on line:

GaryEI buy the lower ball joints all the time from a dealer. The part number is CBBTC030. I have some in stock now.

EdsCatI just had my ball joints replaced about 3 weeks ago. Did not have to purchase the arms.

I suppose but you've really got to look at his overall batting average of late. Oh wait,,,,,

silverkatYou're on a bit of a roll today. See at least 4 threads where you're piling on just to start trouble. Too many to comment on but your average is very high in this area. So helpful are you.
beachcatwhich 4 would that be? Could you name them please?
bettyboopThanks for all the wonderful help and leads guys - it's much appreciated and I've got new ones on the way. The Chrysler dealers here are shocking for misleading women.
CJWell I'm a woman owner and I don't let them get away with anything. You just have to be informed. This site is a wealth of info and help from the owners
