Makes you wonder how the SOS office could have made such a mistake with yours........especially for 2 1/2 years!!! This message has been edited by CJ on 01-13-2004 at 08:40 PM ppcmem972chlsr I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT ARE 2 PROWLER PERSONAL PLATES IN MICHIGAN.I OWN 1 AND SOMEONE ELSE OWNS THE SECOND.I TRIED TO RENEW THIS PLATE FOR THE THIRD YEAR AND THE STATE SAYS THE PLATE DOESN'T BELONG TO ME EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HAD IT ON MY CAR FOR 2.5 YEARS NOW.LOOKS LIKE I WILL HAVE TO GET A DIFFERENT PLATE BECAUSE THE OTHER OWNER OF THE PLATE HAS HAD IT SINCE 1999.LOOKS LIKE MY NEW PLATE WILL HAVE TO BE PRWLRRR NOT WHAT I WANTED AND A REAL BUMMER BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE THINK OF WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I WAS PULLED OVER DURING THE 2.5 YEAR PERIOD I HAD IT ON THE CAR.WHAT CONFUSION THE POLICE WOULD HAVE HAD WHEN THEY WOULD HAVE RUN A CHECK ON THE PROWLER PLATE AND FOUND 2 EXSIST. David R. Draplin PRONLER would be cool! CJ Haven't heard from you in a while!! Wow! I have to admit that when we met you out on Woodward, I was more than surprised that the original owner of the PROWLER plate would have let it go unless they'd sold the car. I applied for plates the minute they announced production even though I didn't have a car........and didn't get one until three years later. They told me that PROWLER was already taken. I'd assumed by someone in the corporation. I submitted the form (which was the old way) with the three required choices. For some unknown reason, they sent me two different sets of plates. One was my first choice PPROWLR (for Plymouth Prowler) and the other one was CJPRWLN (you can guess). We put them on other personal vehicles we were driving at the time (even though they made no sense to the current vehicle being driven) and kept them that way until I got my first cat. When Bob presented me with the Black cat, he had put the PPROWLR plate on it. I wanted to put the CJPRWLN plate on my trailer, but Michigan does not allow personalized plates for trailers (go figure!?). When I got the Candy Cat, we transferred the CJPRWLN from the car I was driving daily. thedqman Apply for the plate PRQWLER. You cannot tel its a Q when you look at it and I Bet no one has taken it!
