Notice there is no third brake light and no holes in the trunk! What paint manufacturer are you using? Are you shooting it yourself? Should look excellent when it's all cleared!!! Interesting look without your 3rd brake light. Please continue to post pics as your project progresses. Brian This message has been edited by TooHipCat on 08-08-2006 at 07:26 PM Looks like you'll still have time to enjoy it before winter ------------------ ------------------ I am posting my reply in this block to the questions listed above. 392HEMI the clear coat went on 30 minutes after I took these pictures. TooHipCat I am not doing the painting myself. I have mechanic skills but I stay away from body work. Marty Usher & 1buddyc I also like the satin but I had it clear coated. Remo the local dealer may only offer $16500 but he will never get his hands on this car! If I should have to sell it sometime it will go to POA first. cnote6 no rat rod for me. At least not on this car. MDProwler - much of it was painted assembled as it is purple over purple then reassembled for pearl flames and then disassembled again. It will be another week before its all complete. We used Sikkens and House of Kolor on my old Stang. Two great paints to work with!!! Well we are getting closer to having this Kats makeover done and thought you might find the pictures of interest. These photos are after the car base coat was applied and the violet pearl flames air brushed on but before the clear coat has been sprayed. Hope you enjoy! 392HEMI MusCat: Boy has that come a long way. Looks awesome, when does the clearcoat go on? Keep us posted. The more work you put into it the more you will love it. Beautiful ! TooHipCat Definitely enjoyed seeing your pics of your kats rebirth!!! mist302 SUPER! Marty Usher Forget the clearcoat - the satin fiish looks awesome as it is now!

The paint manufacture is Sikkens.
3rd brake light was removed for a TGF spoiler.392HEMI Man you are going to put Muscatine, Iowa on the map with this one. As Buddy often says, a picture is worth a thousand compliments or something to that effect. More Pic's. TooHipCat quote:

Company specializing in high quality paints. Very good choice
Besides the flashy looks it will now accelerate
as a Flying Dutchman. Enjoy and safe miles.CJ Wow, Kees............that was fast.........new banner! One of these days, I'm going to have to get a new one....maybe after Dream Cruise I'll get around to it. BeWare I think they make a clear coat that will maintain the satin look while still protecting the paint. Can't wait to see pictures of the finished cat. It's awesome that a Purple Cat has been given new life.
