Looking at picking up another Kat for my daily driver. Wondering what problems, if any, folks are seeing with Lambo Doors? Also, my commute is about to be pumped up to 90 miles a day. What other things have Prowler owners done to soften, or make the Kat ride smoother for long (daily) trips? TIA Brian

I agree on the Wonderbar plus get a set of non runflat tires - those two changes will make a huge difference inn the ride quality.

I am adding Lambo Hinges to my PT, either the LSD Kit or one made by Vertical Lift hinges, Both of these are 100% bolt on. Autoloc also make Lambo as well however they usually are weld on kit that tend to sag.

The Bolt on kits use large gas shocks and I have a seen them react diffently in cold weather. i.e the hinges close more quickly in the cold and become harder to lift.

I will post some pics once I get mine installed
Here is PT Vertical Lift Kit

300c ( Also a Vertical Lift Kit )

There is a Vertical Door Lift Bolt on Kit on ebay for $2300. I never saw this kit in person however I have seen the PT kit. Here is a link to the Prowler Vertical Lift kit

I have the lambo doors by vertical lift and am very happy with it. I really like the way it looks. I have the bolt on kit, and I think is the only way to go.JMO

I have the GT Factory...Diablo Kit. IT IS NOT A BOLT ON, but it offer the best entry and exit of any kit I have seen. My doors go STRAIGHT UP verticle. Not slanted in any way. You don't have to step or duck under the door. I have seen only one of the bolt on kits and for my money
prefer the weld on kit. Get what works best for you.

Fairly easy to install and you do NOT need a realignment.

Mello - Non-runflats. By far the largest improvement in ride quality.

I have to agree with Marty and the others. Ours is a daily driver, and when I take it, it's about 70 miles round-trip per day. We also have the Wonderbar and non-runflats. It will never feel nor handle like a "regular" car, but those two things have definitely helped.
