I am slowly working on chrome roll bar with glass that snaps in deck lid to reduce wind, similar to an air patrol. Thinking chrome or with option to color match car. Any suggestions, I'm all ears.

I was thinking the same thing...chrome roll bar with plexi to serve as a wind brake. Installed in the deck lid holes.
Shouldn't be hard to do and would look great.

If it just pops in the deck lid holes, it seems like it wouldn't have any structural strength in a roll over. Seems more cosmetic than functional.

John, LUPORE, and galaxie, You might want to do it with smoked glass
like others we have seen and follow the line of the headrests
to made it really different, just a few more bends and
if you need help with getting Pins...I can put you on to where
to get them made when the time comes....good to see new mods
coming out for the prowler....

From a Miata Site ..replace that net with smoked plexie..lots of ways to do this.

P.S. Hi jimmy...things are great,, never better ..your just too funny...keep in touch...and enjoy the web like I do..you little trol you..We were all hoping to see you at Woodward, Oh thats right, you can't mmmmmm

I like this design. It does not obstruct the rear view.

How would it mount. I did not buy the current wind suppressor because it would not mount with our waterfall speaker cover installed. I have no desire to remove this mod from our cat.

Galaxie said earlier that the one he is working on will be functional. I doubt that one attaching into the deck top mounts would offer much if any protection at all. So I am assuming that it will mount to the floor somehow. I could be totally off base. My question still stands regarding the one he is working on.

Chris and others . I know the ones pictured are just for looks . I like them and they do look very cool. However read the above quote. This is what I am asking about. If someone came up with something that was functional, looks good and does not interfere with top operation. Then this would be the best alternative of all.
