I am slowly working on chrome roll bar with glass that snaps in deck lid to reduce wind, similar to an air patrol. Thinking chrome or with option to color match car. Any suggestions, I'm all ears. |

I was thinking the same thing...chrome roll bar with plexi to serve as a wind brake. Installed in the deck lid holes. Shouldn't be hard to do and would look great. |

If it just pops in the deck lid holes, it seems like it wouldn't have any structural strength in a roll over. Seems more cosmetic than functional. |

Looks could KILL! This is a looks cool unit with some aero ability with the plexi glass installed inside the bar to make the air raze over the seats... onecatnodog |

Hay Joe... If you look at the top of there site they show members cars and that is were I saw it.. It was by accident so I went to there picture place and coped it for a reference for my friend to build... I shouldn't let this out but he is working on one as we speak and should be done shortly... If I like it I will post it and they will be offered for sale.... Thanks P.O.A. for letting me post this photo and letting all reply to this cool mod topic... John(onecatnodog)Collins |

John, LUPORE, and galaxie, You might want to do it with smoked glass like others we have seen and follow the line of the headrests to made it really different, just a few more bends and if you need help with getting Pins...I can put you on to where to get them made when the time comes....good to see new mods coming out for the prowler.... From a Miata Site ..replace that net with smoked plexie..lots of ways to do this.

quote: Galaxie said earlier that the one he is working on will be functional. I doubt that one attaching into the deck top mounts would offer much if any protection at all. So I am assuming that it will mount to the floor somehow. I could be totally off base. My question still stands regarding the one he is working on. |

quote: Chris and others . I know the ones pictured are just for looks . I like them and they do look very cool. However read the above quote. This is what I am asking about. If someone came up with something that was functional, looks good and does not interfere with top operation. Then this would be the best alternative of all.
