...my favorites have always been the Carlini covers, they match the shape of the headlights......they are a real pain in the butt to install, but they look great when finished.....

I think the Wolf Man Goetz "retro" panel is still available? Another option to consider?? I love the look of the Gary Panel (by far the best looking in my opinion) but...Words can NOT describe what a pain in the A.. they are to install. |

Obiwan's son made the bracket from a old scissors jack crank. ,, going to the chromer very soon. That grill in the pic is the first one I had from the people Fla. Thanks for the comments. |

i'm really partial to jd's but if i can't have those... the carlini ones are second pick and the price is the same as the mills unit... why don't you make me a set jd , for my black beauty and i shall reward you handsomely.. |

I bought Real-Rods filler panels. I found set of used motorcycle turn sigals for $10.00 at the local Harley dealer. Talked to one of the mechanics and he had some that he had taken of a bike there. Total costs = $250.00 + or minus http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/image_uploads/III/imag0008.jpg This message has been edited by Bcoffman Gray Ghost on 11-24-2004 at 10:47 AM |

I like the look of both the Carlini and the TGF, but as someone already mentioned they are very hard to install. The have to stick to the body and if you ever have to remove the Prowler nose you have a another big job on your hands. I have always admired JD's |

OR...save yourself $300-$500 and zip tie them behind the grill. I did mine like that and they came out perfect. Looks real good at night with that orange glow coming from behind the grill, looks like the engine is glowing! You'll need to either (a) buy two new wiring harnesses or (b) do what i did and hack them out of the bumpers and 'extend' them. |

mr visual, what did you use to cover the holes where the bumpers attach...? bob has the covers but they are much $$$. did ya just take the lights out of the stock bumpers and mount them behind the grill ? ... sound like a good idea ? tell me more or send me a pict wouldn't the covers plus the harley turn signals be quite close to the carlini price of $595.00 ? tks jim This message has been edited by halicat on 11-25-2004 at 10:04 AM |

anyone ever get hasseled by the fuzz regarding the behind the grill turn/running lights ? one of my concerns is somebody crashing the cat then blaming the hidden turn signals for the accident. anybody have any experience with this ? remember in the old days we called the cops "fuzz" ? |

I was pulled over for having a headlight out but the "fuzz" never said a word about the turnsignals nor the fact that it raining and I have no windshield wipers or that I have no front or rear bumpers. He just wanted me to get the headlight repaired. |
