I now have the Prowler Hinge Protectors back from the paint shop and ready to package as soon as I can get the instruction sheets completed.

I will be ready to begin shipping by Monday 5/12/03.

The Prowler Hinge Protectors are $27.95 per set plus $10.00 shipping.

The Prowler Hinge Protectors are easily installed using only a 13mm wrench and will prevent items from being pinched beneath your deck lid hinges when closing your trunk. The Hinge Protector set ( 1 Right and 1 Left ) is constructed of steel and is finished in satin black powdercoat.

I accept PayPal (Larry@FMBbox.com) as well as M/C, Visa and Amex.
Even cash or checks make me happy.

installed mine today, like Mike Gatlin stated the hardest part was finding a 13mm tool

my socket set is at the barn so I have them to work on the dart and I had to look thru the tools in the tool box. The only one I could find was 1/2" drive and I couldn't find my 3" extention, or a 13mm wrench, BUT they are one and work great!

Great not having to worry about things sliding down under the hinges. I squished a squirt bottle, "fortunatly in a plastic bag" sometime ago. Nice to know nothing will spring the deck lid hinges out of shape. This is a classic "why didn't I think of that" idea.

Mike,
You are so right! Only I ask myself why didn't I start making these sooner. I've had the concept for over 3 years and just never did anything with it.
About a year and a half ago, I saw something similar in Jim Clayton's car that his son made for him out of wood. We both agreed that it would be a good item to have but I just never put them into production due to other projects. Even now, they were designed to be a secondary product to locate my new KatRacks while stowed in the trunk. After making some test pieces I saw just how much need for these there is and decided to make them a stand-alone product.
I should have made them when I first had the idea.

Kraut, Kool Kat and Texas Jr your Hinge Protectors shipped today via FedEx.

Meancat,
How do you like the Kat Rack?
Let's see a picture of your painted Hinge Protectors.

Randy,
Thanks for the kind words.

I've had them on for over a week now and it sure does help the hinge from getting cought up. I now don't worry about the hinge getting stuck with something.

Thank you Larry

I recommend them

Larry... my check is going out in tomorrow's mail.

This very welcomed product for any Cat Owner that fills their trunk to capacity (and then some) for those overnight Prowls.

Hi Larry,

I am going to send you a check for a pair. Look great. What do you think a set of Chrome bolts would look like on these ? I notice the bolts are painted and taking them off removes some of the paint..... do you think chrome would look good ? Hope all is well. take care and hopefully I'll see you soon.

Sincerely,

John

Simple installation. Larry's correct, they should have been there from the factory. One of those little things that gets overlooked during development. They're cheap! I lot my favorite cell phone to the hinge demon. To heck with the phone, it could have sprung the deck lid!

If you haven't purchased a set, don't hesitate a moment longer. This is a GOTTA HAVE update. Larry, can you say 11,000 sets??????

People complain about there not being a lot of things out there for Prowler. Here's a guy doing something for us owners! Do I have them all? Hinge protectors, trailer stand, trailer latch reinforcement. hitch carrier...what have I missed? This needs to stay out for people to see.
