We will be at the hotel in the afternoon to greet you and give you your Event Booklet and Goody Bag!
This will be a day of relaxation and fun. We will be at the Hotel in the morning to lead you to our cottage on the lake. There will be the “grand opening” of my Prowler Collection which has a lot to see and read, etc. There will also be boats, kayaks, games, fishing, hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones for the day. There will also be a lunch. Late afternoon, we will be cruising to the Soaring Eagle Casino for dinner. There are five restaurants for you to choose from. You can have fun at the Casino after your meal, come back to the cottage to hang out for the evening or go back to the hotel. There will be directions in your booklet to get where you want to go.
We will be taking a nice back roads cruise to Graying, MI. We will be having lunch at a unique old-fashion diner in town. After lunch we will cruise back to the cottage to hang out for the remainder of the day/evening.
This day, we will be heading down to Auburn Hills for the MAIN part of the event. It is also arrival day for those who could only attend this part of the reunion! They will be given their Event Booklets and Goody Bags that day. You can take your time getting to the Hyatt Hotel and check in. It is about 2 hour 40 min drive on the freeway (barring any construction, etc.). I would recommend having breakfast in Clare before you leave for Auburn Hills. There will be info in your event booklet regarding places to eat for dinner. The evening is open . More discussion on this when you get your booklet.
We will be taking you in the morning to a museum that is one I have not done with you throughout all the Dream Cruise activities!! It is the Stahls Automotive Foundation Museum and I know you will like it. From there, we will be cruising up to the city of Port Huron for a luncheon. It is on the St. Clair River and the Blue Water Bridge that connects to Canada. After lunch, we will head back to the hotel. We can take a ride down Woodward Avenue or just hang out at the hotel. More discussion on that at the event.
We will be going the General Motors Heritage Car Collection in the morning. From there, we will be cruising up to the city of Frankenmuth. It is a really nice German /Bavarian town with lots to see, shopping, etc. Bronners (at Frankenmuth) is the biggest Christmas store in the world!! We will meet at a designated time (to be decided yet) at Zendhers of Frankenmuth. The Zehnder family purchased the hotel (now restaurant) in 1928 and the tradition of good food and hospitality continues today. They are famous for their chicken dinners, but have many more food options. All great! After the dinner we will head back to the Hotel and relax!!
CEMA (Chrysler Employee Motorsport Assocation) 28th Annual Charity Car Show. We are partnering with CEMA for this event. Not only is it the 20th Anniversary of the Prowler, it is also the 25th Anniversary for Viper. There are some cool things in the works for this event but I’m going to keep them as a surprise. There will be a designated area for all the Prowlers and one for the Vipers. They generaly have 500-600 vehicles at this show of all makes and models. There will be music, a food wagon and lots of fun. After the event, we will head back to the hotel. The evening will be open to whatever you choose. Hanging out in the parking lot might be nice as all of you will be headed home on the next day.
Departure day after a week of fun and camaraderie with all your “old” friends and your new ones. OH...........and pray for no rain and warm weather!!! lol! This message has been edited by CJ on 04-27-2017 at 03:54 PM |

Thank You CJ. Sounds like loads of fun as usual. Linda and I will be leaving and heading back to Georgia right after the car show Saturday. I have to be at work first thing Monday and I want to split up the return trip over two days. |
