quote: Please don't be confused. They just divided the Events section into two areas, one to make announcements and provide info on events; & one to post discussion, let people know you will be attending, etc. I will add you to the attendee list in the Upcoming Event section, we will be glad to see you. Let us know if you have any questions about the hotel or anything else. Marty |

Thanks Marty, I saw that you split the thread (love that POA talk) -LoL- right before I posted. We were there last year in that big yellow car with the wing on the back. Had such a good time we decided to get a prowler of our own. This year we have a prowler so the bird stays home. Got the hotel booked already - thanks again! |

Scott - you could always bring both cars! You wouldn't want the other Superbirds to be lonely would you? What ever you bring, we will look forward to seeing you all again. Marty |

Marty can I leave my car at your place from May 19th to the 28th. I need to go back to Nashville for Power Tour and it looks like I can fly round trip for $220, so why drive. |

Please note I just received a call from Churchill Downs that the Infield Car Show has been cancelled this year due to a total restoration and addition project at the track being behind schedule. I wanted everyone to be aware of this fact. I need to ask all of you that are planning on attending if you still want to attend if we make alternative plans or is the car show the reason you are attending? At this point our choices are plan some alternative crusies or cancel the event altogether. What are your thoughts? I am all for still doing something and seeing and meeting a bunch of POA people. I will come up with a possible alternative schedule of events later this week. Possible alternatives for Saturday could include: 1.Cruise to National Corvette Museum with tour of museum and possibly Corvette Plant (they also make new Caddilac XLR there) 2. Car Show in Stanford Kentucky - nice small town show in downtown area. (hour and 1/2 cruise each way)
4. Caesars riverboat casino. 5. Mammoth Cave National Park 6. Kentucky Horse Park Just throwing up possibilities at this point. Marty This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 02-11-2003 at 01:46 PM |

My vote is for going down to Stanford for the car show. Maybe everyone that is going to Louisville gets a vote on what their would like to do on that Saturday, and majority wins. |

I vote Corvette museum or car show Sat. The museum would be a nice 2 hour cruise each way. How far is Mammoth cave? Bob, Marty has a detailer, although you would never know it looking at his car Just kidding Marty! ------------------ |

This really bothers me. If I hadn't called and left a message about POA sponsoring a race again this year, who knows when we would have found out the car show was cancelled. Moving forward - I called the Corvette Museum: $6.00 Adult, $5.00 Senior, $3.00 Students. About a two hour cruise there, a little longer if we decide to take two lane roads at least one way. The Corvette plant is closed weekends. I will email the car show producer about the Stanford Car Show. This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 02-11-2003 at 06:59 PM |

Marty, just wondered what the new event looks like at this point? If the Corvette museum is in the mix, perhaps we could see the plant on Friday? In any event the museum is well worth the trip. Still on the fence regarding attendance. Gordon |

Gordon - if you or anyone wants to come in on Friday or meet at the Corvette Museum and Plant in Bowling Green, I beblieve I can make those arrangements. A Saturday event just won;t work there due to other events they haveand timing issues. Please go to Louisville 2003 in Upcoming Events for updated scheduling of plans. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000714.html This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 02-22-2003 at 11:47 AM |
