Hi all,
New Prowler in the garage (1k miles)… Gave her the once over and came across a small but irritating issue… Only on the drivers door when you open it, the bell alarm goes off ( same alarm sound when the back trunk is not closed). Goes off after the door is closed but as soon as it’s opened, it’s back on…
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rich

Check the headlight switch to be sure its 100% push-in tight.

If that bezel is loose or cracked, the switch may not be
100% pushed-in? Mine did that once, and when the driver's door was opened the alarm was telling me 'something else' needs attention. That is what I found, but it maybe another thing causing the alarm to sound.

Good luck,,,,, tell us what you find was the answer!

Good call!!!! It was the light switch just as you said…. Lights were off but seemed to be stuck from going all the way in… worked it a few times in and out and the alarm stopped… Problem solved and thank you so much!

Thanks for reporting back Rich,,,that that was the issue causing the alarm to sound.

If that nickel-size bezel part has been unattached from the dash,,,you might want to put a drop of adhesive on it's back side to reattach and prevent the alarm from sounding again.

Glad I could help out!
