The 1997 through 2001 Original Equipment TPMS Sensors run between $170.00 and $200.00 (Give or take) each.
I do not know how compatible the generic units may or may not be.

When I got new tires again back in July, I planned on swapping the original sensors into a nicer set of spare rear wheels I have but the retaining nuts were corroded enough to make the installer concerned. I did not want to risk damaging the sensors so I left well enough alone.

For now I have retained the flaking wheels but did order through a member here, a set of the 2002 TPMS sensors and matching module that installs in the dash for much less than new old style sensors alone.

My plan is to swap them out when the original battery's fail, or this set of tires wear out, whichever happens first.

I followed up at the local Chrysler dealership with the calibration procedure provided (thank you very much) and there was a mechanic that was able to use his DRB 3 on the Prowler. He found the same procedure on his laptop. There was no special magnet tool available so we used 2 magnets from an electrical motor repair. By "wrapping" the quarter circle magnets around the valve stem, placed on the wheel, we were able to calirate all sensors and it was successful!!
