Getting ready to install the door panel inserts I purchased last year and wondering what other's results were. Happy with them ? Installation tips ? Do they stay attached well ? Appreciate any insight.

They say the doors need to be 100% perfectly clean for that 3M tape to work, I used alcohol to clean the mounting area and they still did not stick, the tape either came off on the door or from the insert itself. I wound up stripping them off, cleaning the tape off and using construction adhesive to attach... Havent had a problem since.

I had the same problem with mine last year after I had them wrapped for a color change...tried 3 different types of tape...finally used a silicone sealer, still solid as a rock!

I used what came with inserts ,no problem yet. apply the inserts from top down, so that any imperfections in size will be on bottom ,out of sight.

Also let me add that using construction adhesive (or silicone sealer as alprowl suggested) will allow you to reposition the insert to exactly where you want it... Once its in place, use painters tape to hold it in place for 24 hours. with the 3M, once its stuck its stuck, and if you find you have to pull it up to adjust it you'll weaken the tape's adhesion.

Thank you all for the insight and application tips. Just what I was looking for. Hoping the supplied tape works as advertised. Curious as to how many owners have made this cosmetic mod to their cats.

Thanks again.
