It has 4 bolts on the bottom that hold the rear suspension braces on... I scraped and bent the bolts coming out of the garage... Part looks replaceable if I can locate one... |

I believe that that is the rear cross member. The part number is 4786823. |

One of my bolts broke off with the scraping.. Actually, it broke inside the crossmember. Can a new bolt be welded/heliarched or whatever you call welding aluminum back into the old crossmember?? Any thoughts.., Cost of a new one??? Thank you.. Brad |

You might be able to drill a hole in the top big enough to install a new bolt if the original hole is clear, then you could tighten it through the hole. If it would weaken it too much structurally, it could be reinforced around the hole but still leaving you access to the bolt head. |

quote: Such a simple solution. Maybe a large washer under the nut on the bottom. I found the part on EBAY for $151.00 (Seems reasonable). Thank you!!! A further note: I took mine off a few years ago and sanded, buffed and polished it. Still looks great. This message has been edited by BradleyG on 07-08-2016 at 08:17 AM |
