Does anyone have a recommendation on the best hood support. I’ve had mine replaced twice over the past 10 years. Once by the dealer and the second time using STRONG ARM hood supports. Any help would be appreciated.

Here you go, I have put these on a few years ago and the hood opens up higher and not worried it will come down on my head... A large amount of us bought these and Stephen is great to deal with.

Previous post:

Hello, First of all thanks to Gene Fendley, GenoTex, for his comunication efforts last week. I am Stephen Fenner of Lift Support Technologies Canada Inc and I look forward to being of assistance to each one of your Prowler Hood Support issues.
This letter below was formerly posted on Prowler On Line last year.
"Finally got done testing my new hood struts. Wow, what a difference they made. The hood doesn't close on its own anymore. I got them from Stephen Fenner at Lift Support Technologies in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (306-683-5000)(lstech@lstechnologies.ca). I met Stephen at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. I explained my problems with the stock struts and the problems the other Prowler owners have had. We decided that I would send my struts to LST for testing. They had approx. 160 N F1. Stephen built me a set of struts with approx. 300N F1. I also had him make them 5/16 inch longer. My hood used to open to 35 inches but now opens to 40 inches. If your not happy with your stock struts. Contact Stephen @ Lift Support Technologies. He was very understanding and can help with any of your hood strut problems. "
It will be a pleasure to assist all you Proud Prowler Owners.
Regards,
Stephen Fenner.

A 9 iron will hold it just a little higher, just FYI.
8 iron is too much club.

sooooooooo...

Is that an offer to buy???

I have the complete set of PROWLER GOLF CLUBS.

Cool to look at or have for your collection.. Just don't try to use them to play golf. When I used them, I finished from hole #2 with my driver and putter.

Make your Prowler collection complete. A set of Prowler golf clubs for only $50.00 plus shipping.

ME JOKING?????? LOL

Not this time. I'll take pictures tonight and either email or post tomorrow. Actually I bought them when I was trying to get all the Prowler stuff I could find. These are NOT any good to play golf with.... OR maybe that was just the loose not on the end of the club that makes them so bad.

I just looked on Ebay.. Here is a link to a 9 iron (Which works well as a Prowler hood prop). http://cgi.ebay.com/LYNX-Prowler-9-Iron-All-original-/270315437837?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash=item3ef00e3f0d

I have seen those before. They are legit golf clubs. Maybe not top of the line but they have been around for awhile.

Ed, Here they are.

YEP.. They are real clubs, just that they don't respond very well to me swinging them. LOL

Like I said before... The pitching wedge and the 9 iron work well as hood props.

Brad,,,from the appearance of the bottom of those clubs,,,it looks like you spent most of your time in the rough,,clubbing snakes!

If you sell them,,,spend the money on some golf lessons!

j/k

LOL Larry... I tried to play one round with them and gave up after the first hole. I bought them on Ebay years ago because they have the "PROWLER" word on them. Then I shined up the pitching wedge to hold the hood open at a car show.

I need to sell them to pay for the LST stainless supports. that are on the way to me.

You need hollow back, perimeter weighted clubs, they are much more forgiving if you don't hit it right on the sweet spot.

I agree with Ed, you need newer technology that will be more forgiving...Ping.
