I'm thinking of trying the Michelin pilot sport ps2, The front size it comes in is 225/45ZR17 witch is 25 inches in diameter. And the rear, that is 305/35ZR20 witch is 28.46inches in diameter. Prety close, Has anyone gone down road? Do you think I'll run into a problem? Tks in advance This message has been edited by JOYRIDE on 05-05-2010 at 02:02 PM |

I have Michelin Pilot Sport on the Viper,,,,OEM tire, run flats. About the rear size > Marty ran 305/20's on his Prowler, and I believe he had tire rub when hitting bumps. Might PM Marty, or maybe he will jump in to post. |

I went to a couple of tire stores this morning and was disappointed with the choices they had (and didn't have) to offer me. Regarding the Goodyear GS-D EMT Run Flat tires: Goodyear told me there was NOTHING they could do to help me. Mr Tire listed the tires on their web page and showed them in stock within their system but the counter person I dealt with came back to me and said the tire is no longer available even though the web site contradicts that. The guy at Mr tire offered as an alternitive the Bridgestone Potenza RE50A style Run Flat 225/45R17 for the front and the 305/35ZR20 for the rear. I am hesitant to make the commitment as some here have indicated there may be a clearance issue. I need to make a decision before the end of this month. Thanks These are choices Tire Rack show as options but only one Run Flat Option if they actually have it. * Front: 225/45ZR17 * Rear: 295/40ZR20 * Rear: 295/40ZR20 ------------------------------------------------------------ * Front: 225/45R17 * Rear: 295/40R20

I don't know about the Bridgestone, but the ones I was looking at( Michelin pilot sport, Non run flats) are 25 inches in Diameter 225/45ZR17 Where as the original Goodyears are 24.9 inches As for the rear Michelin 305/35ZR20 are 28.46 in diameter, and the Goodyear were 29.2 I hope they fit, since I ordered them Fryday. I think they should be as close as I can get , if I want to run Michelin |

I have INVO 315/35-ZR-20 on mine and they fit fine. NO rubbing at all. I used to have the Dunlops and they would occasionally rub the inside of the fender well. My tires are NON run flats. Handling and the ride are the best I have had in 73,000 miles which included the stock Good Years, Dunlops and now the INVOs. |

Well I finally made a decision I went with Goodyear Eagle GS-D EMT tires through a local tire store. Installed for $1,806. plus change which is (in my opinion) a real good price since tire rack wanted $1758.00 for the same tires plus shipping and then mounting and balancing would have been extra. I watched the owner (I think) of the shop remove and reinstall my wheels today. Anyone in the Timonium MD area 21093 would not go wrong by getting tires there. I will furnish info to anyone that asks. By the way, after driving the Kat only a short distance I noticed the improved ride that new rubber tires provide instead of the old dried up dry-rotting hard ones that were on the car for ten years. It is like a whole different car now. This message has been edited by alrtg on 05-25-2010 at 07:21 PM |

Finally got the Michelin on her, and did make difference in the ride. Only thing is with the tire being a softer rubber, it seems small pebbles are sticking to the rubber more than before. Can anyone think of a solution ? Maybe spay them with something? This message has been edited by JOYRIDE on 06-12-2010 at 10:40 AM |

I have the pebble problem with the Kuhmo's, they pick up the stones in the grooves and throw them in front of the car then you drive through them when they are bouncing.... The Nitto's didn't do it because of the tread pattern.... Buy touch up paint.. |

Could be because they patched our neibourhood last week , and the street sweeper hasn't made its rounds yet. |
