Fred,
Thanks for the investigation and timely post. It seems that Mr. Art's plastic clips (black shorter ones) will function in all applications. Several owners with the grey clip R&R'ed them to the black clip with no issues.

Several members have been very helpful and it now appears that the shorter ones will work in all or nearly all cases. Please note that the price Fred gave ($30.00 +) was for ONE piece! I verified this with him.

Bradley is the only one that may have an issue with the fit and that involves a friend's car.

That friend's car is Ed's goldie oldie (ok... RED oldie). I'm betting Ed did some mods that he didn't tell anyone about. MAYBE Ed isn't as stock as he seems to be afterall... LOL
Hopefully this is a fluke.

Ironically, that car was totally stock, as far as I know. I bought it from a semi-local when a Cal. chick backed out and questioned whether I was telling her it was pristine because it really was pristine or because he was a friend of mine. I told her if she didn't buy it, I would. So I did. Then I had 3 Prowlers and needed to sell one for numerous reasons.
I was the third or fourth owner, possibly. No problems that I was aware of.

Interesting that Chrysler now has tons of them, when they were hard to find for awhile and priced fairly high, to say the least.

Hopefully there will be someone smarter and better than I am (I tried it two different times) to help us install the latch and make it LATCH while it is in Colorado. Art, Thanks for all your support on our Prowlers.
