Can you believe that I got up at 6:00 am on SATURDAY to beat every other Prowler owner to Preston Chrysler for a free 4 wheel alignment and I was the only Prowler to show up (I could have slept for another hour). Got there at 6:45. Took a short nap in the car waiting for Linda, the prettiest Chrysler Service Rep to arrive and fix some coffee. Darell, the other Service Rep (Not near as cute as Linda) even showed up on his day off. I received the usual "Red Carpet" treatment at Preston Chrysler. The new alignment machine is way cool. As Neal said, there are a couple of Prowler kinks to work out, but I am sure they will be addressed real soon. If you look at the first picture, notice there isn't enough clearance for a Prowler to climb the ramp without dragging. I won't even try to describe the ramp these guys made to get me on and off the machine. (I just stood there and prayed). Two more things to point out in the pictures besides the state of the art alignment machine. Take a look at picture # 3 and check out the Halo Lights installed by cnote6's crew at Moonshadow of Dallas. A really cool mod along with the HID light kit. Man, what a difference. Second thing in the pictures.. Yes, I detailed my car today after these pictures were taken. Finally, A great big thank you to all the wonderful people at Preston Chrysler in Dallas for ALWAYS taking such good care of me and my Prowler. And.. The FREE Alignment today. |

Making a second post on this because I think it is a very important note. After the rear wheels were aligned and everything was perfect.. I got in the drivers seat before the front wheels were aligned. When I got in the car and placed my 210 pounds of flesh into the seat, the alignment went out of specs. So they started over. Scott Curtis and some others have mentioned that weights should be placed into the drivers seat during an alignment. Now, I know for sure. It is important if you want it to be perfect. Before the alignment, the car seemed fine, but now.. What a difference. Straight and true. Thanks again Preston Chrysler. |

"Scott Curtis and some others have mentioned that weights should be placed into the drivers seat during an alignment. Now, I know for sure. It is important if you want it to be perfect." What I first stated long ago,,,,,from MadMax's experiences with alignment on the Prowler. Everyone made fun of my post back then,,now maybe you'll think twice about it! Thanks Brad for posting the 'facts'! |

Neal, thanks for the great post. I notice that the Prowler has a unique 'turn signal replacement kit' when the front bumpers should be removed. I have the Tom Mills/Jefferson Auto kit, and was told by the Prowler Tech. that a front end alignment could not be performed due to interference issues. So, if you're going to the alignment shop, be sure to remove these 'kits' prior or be prepared to pay for the R&R. |

I would like to apologize to Linda and to anyone my comment about the prettiest Chrysler Service Rep fixing coffee may have offended. Thank you, Linda and everyone else at Preston Chrysler that go above and beyond the call of duty to assure all of their customers receive the best treatment from a great dealership. Whether it be wiping the oil off of my polished frame (Thanks Darold, I saw you doing it) to fixing a cup of coffee for some guy crazy enough to get there real early and take advantage of a generous offer from your dealership, You make everyone feel like a VIP. This is the reason that some Prowler owners come from distant cities to find one of the best Prowler Technicians and service available to our unique cars. Mickey, If you weren’t afraid to put a couple miles on your 97 Kat, you could see for yourself how great they are. So, come on up and I will buy you a cup of coffee. Sometimes my fingers press the keys before the mass between my ears takes the time to think about what I am saying. Thank you for accepting me in my non-perfect state. |

Yes I can speak from experience that Preston Chrysler has to be one of the greatest dealerships in Texas.. You can count on Neal and all the staff there at Preston Chrysler for the RED CARPET service that they provide especially when you are from out of town, I will be in soon for service!! Even though I have to drive 250 miles it's all worth it for the first class service!! This message has been edited by Sunshine on 10-15-2007 at 09:24 PM |
