Is it just me or does it seem there's a half gear in our cars? I swear my car will get stuck at a point in between gears sometimes. I know there's a difference because of switching between auto and stick. I'll get on the gas and it'll bog a little then pick up. But if I'm in 3rd in auto mode then switch to 3rd in stick mode I get much more power and exhaust note between the 2. Plus the damn car will double shift alot when it's not necessary making me think it has some sort of in between point. Anyone else notice anything similar? |

That's the lock up funtion in the tranny that you're feeling. All transmissions have it but Chrysle trannys and their programming happen to be especially poor. |

That's how I've been feeling about it. Seems the design isn't very good. Also seems to be the major cause of power loss. Could be wrong about that. Anyone tried a tranny swap or upgrade? If so what are the details? I'd really love a stick in this car. Do they make a stick on teh Chrysler 300M? It may be interchangeable to some degree. |

There's an aftermarket vendor that is working on this problem and other short comings of the Prowler tansaxle. We should hear some good news on this shortly. ------------------ |
