what is the typical RPM range under the following conditions?

1. engine on, gear in park.

2. engine on, gear in neutral, break applied.

3. engine on, gear in drive or auto-stick, break applied.

the reason I ask is that when I first got my prowler back in July, under the above conditions, the tac would read around 1000rpm. under these conditions now, the tac reads about 800rpm to 850rpm. is this normal for break in?

Spyder - my tach reads just a hair under 1000 in all conditions. No appeciable change whether in park, neutral or gear. My car has 19,000 + miles so it is WAY past break-in period.

Hopefully someone else will respond also because I do not have factory tach so I am not absolutely sure the new one is calibrated to factory specs. (but it sure looks better!)

I would worry yourself, seems to me this would be normal, the computer goes through a learning stage, your Kat is Smarter now. Enjoy

I checked mine last night and my Prowler idles around 750-800 RPM. 800 RPM sounds normal to me.

Spyder - It could be a problem with the tach. My tech was checking over the kat and found that it was 350 RPMs off what their test equipment showed. Ordered and replaced the original one under warranty.
