When I take my Prowler in for the brake warning light recall the mechanic said he will see if he can figure out how to re-attach the mud flap bracket. Does anyone know how he is supposed to do this or has this happened to anyone else? I barely scraped the mud flap in some gravel and the whole bracket fell off. Thanks for any help.

Are we talking about the bracket that the bolt slides into? If so, that'll probably have to be welded on or something.

Already had it happen to me, just rough up the inside of the fender a little bit, I do mean a little bit, then go down and get 2 clamps from SEARS that have rubber on both sides. While you are at a hardware store get some epoxy that binds metal and fiberglass. Apply the epoxy to the bracket and then clamp down and wait for it to dry. Paint with some purple automotive paint and there you have it. My bracket and mudflap has been on for a year now with no problems. Hope this helps. Oh, by the way, the purple paint does not have to be a perfect match, you cannot tell from 1 foot away. Jeff

JP, yes that is exactly what I mean. I too thought it might have to be welded but in searching through old posts I saw some that dealt with heating up the "glue" to get the bolts all the way in. So I guess it was originally put on with some sort of adhesive. Thanks for your solution Jeff, if the dealer can't help me or suggests something else I don't feel good about I'll just do it myself using your method. Thanks again.
