Larry, looks like you have the steering wheel, Radio insert and the AC Vent Shimmers. Correct ? Somewhere I have a "Cracked Ice" Radio Shimmer that has not been installed. Have to find that! John This message has been edited by Stray Cat on 04-21-2024 at 07:31 AM |

Ty, one of the things that i was always so very impressed with WRT the Prowler, were the craftsmen (and women) who produced so many cool options for this car. Somewhere there is a thread with a list of many of the people and the products. Anyone know where that is? But in 2021 whenni got back involved, i posted in the for sale section the things i was looking for. I have found just about everything. Lets see if someone knows where that thread is. John

John, I'm sure sorry to hear this news. Hopefully it will be an easy fix for you. As I get older, I'm dealing with the same issues as you with all of my precious "stuff" that I've collected. Things that I thought I would never lose interest in or ever part with, now seem much less important and even a bother to me at times. I find myself yearning for a slower and simpler life. I wish nothing but the best for you and Shelley and the rest of your family. |

Larry, I agree. Was in the Doctors again today, and again yesterday, Getting old. I am seriously going to pair down here. 3 Prowlers ? a Prowler, Viper, GTO ? Too much is too much. I need to admit that. What Dick posted is so true on Caraholic and collector etc. Kpeters - I do not think any of the Shimmers are available any longer except through the Prowler Store. Those are re-productions of only a small sub-set of what Jay did from what I can ascertain. John This message has been edited by Stray Cat on 04-23-2024 at 07:43 PM |

Ty, this is what the area where the top mechanism tucks down into looks like naked (from the factory, without the convertible top boots on) and then with the top boot on. Small detail, but much cleaner. Was a good modification. You can still find them, but units hard. John |

There were several versions of the boots made. Some excellent quality and some, not so much. They need to be fairly thick or stiff to maintain their shape, the thinner ones tend to get a crease in them due to wind and not being careful to get them lined up perfectly. The thicker ones are much nicer. I have had both types. |

Yes, I think I have the thicker ones? Two sets now since Hookers had a set on his car. Both of mine are also reinforced with a plastic backing on the inside. As I remember, the cheaper ones did not have that. There is also a nice backing to the 'leather' - See pic. John This message has been edited by Stray Cat on 04-26-2024 at 06:52 AM |
