Cool! I have only been over 200000 on one car. 1986 Nissan 200SX, I bought it from Cindy's sister when she was trading it in, for trade in price $1159. It had 106000. I drove it for work for 6 years, it had 286000 when I sold it for $850. I think I got my money's worth out of that one. LOL |

WOW,,, that has to be the best bargain I have heard of. I get over 200k with all my vehicles except for the Prowler as of yet. I usually get rid of Cindy's cars before 100k and put her in a low mile vehicle.

My 1991 S-10 has 214K miles on it. I bought it used so I can only say I actually put about 150K miles on it. Unfortunately it has been sitting in the yard and rusting into the ground for the past five years. My 2000 AWD Astro Van has just over 200K on it but to be fair, it had about 176K when I bought it 11 years ago. My 2010 Focus coupe had 11K miles on it when I bought it in December 2014. Today it has 167K on it and I am confident it will see another 100K in the next few years unless something unforeseen happens to it before then. It has been a great car so far and has averaged 34 MPG. |

I have bought very few vehicles with over 100000 miles on them. The Nissan above and a 84 Monte Carlo SS with 105000. I went over a 100000 on mostly my work cars. I'm pretty sure the 72 Chevelle and 66 Impala are over 100000. Of the 13 I have now only 3 has over 100000, 2000 Nissan Altima 103000 and Chevelle and Impala. |

I had a 1999 Plymouth Acclaim that I sold to a friend that had 217,000 miles on it and his teenage grandson drove it for a long time until he wrecked it. I will never see another 200,000 mile car in my lifetime. |

I have had 5 vehicles with over 200k, some already had over 100k when acquired. I like to get my money's worth out of a vehicle. Ok, now that you have told us the miles you have put on your vehicles,,, what is the approximate miles you have driven in your lifetime???? I've estimated mine at 850k |

Is mileage just yours, or Cindy and you combined? Since my Cindy says I have a list for everything, I could get pretty close to actual miles. |

Just mine,,,, we do not share vehicles. We are both ocd like that. It's kinda funny because we share everything else in life except vehicles. Just a note,,, I had a few work trucks driven by employees not added to my total. I used just personal vehicles plus my 1995 Ford 450 that I kept and only drove myself.

Ok, so we do share cars, but do each have our own. Cindy rarely drives any of mine, I drive her's much more, mainly because whenever we take her car she makes me drive. Total for us both around 1,423,000 miles My breakdown, 128,000 motorcycles(4) |

This is your Ridgeline's slightly "older" cousin. This is my daily driver, a 2016 Lexus ES 350. Very dependable car to run so far. Mileage today. But my true workhorses were my Honda Accords. I owned 4 of them. The first 2 getting nearly 200,000 before I gave them to a family member. The third one was a 2004 and I got sold it cheap to an employee with 335,000 miles. The only reason I sold it was it was it was the end of the 2012 model year and it was the last year to have a regular automatic transmission, they were going to CVT in 2013. I had significant reservations about CVT reliability long term. So I sold it and bought a 2012. That 2004 went on to get over 500,000 miles before it was permanently retired. My 2012 had 272,000 when someone ran through a red light and hit me and totaled it. Otherwise I feel quite confidently it would have well over 400,000 miles right now. I agree, I keep a vehicle for the long term. |

quote: LD, as much as I hate to say it, I'm not sure Honda's have the longevity anymore. They went to CVT transmissions in 2013 and two or three years later went to smaller engines with turbos to squeeze every bit of power from the smaller engine. When you make an engine work that hard, I'm not sure it will last hundreds of thousands of miles. Just my opinion. I don't really follow the Honda forums so I don't know what they are reporting. I found it interesting Acura, the luxury arm of Honda, continued regular shift automatic transmissions and old style engines for many years after Honda changed. Personally I reluctantly switched back to Toyota because they continued with regular automatics and non turbo engines. |

My brother in law works at a vehicle recycling yard and he speaks of the same complaint you have with the CVT transmissions,, he also says they have issues but also said they like clean fluid. Mine is a 08 and I have drained and filled the tranny with Honda fluid yearly since I bought it in 11. I have been looking for a low mile obs for the past year but have not had any luck. I would pay premium for a mint low mile obs Ridgeline. The new body style is just not appealing to me.
