Driven the dragon 4 times. Three times with a group and once solo. Usually start in Tennessee to deals gap. All downhill that direction. Last time I ran uphill. Actually preferred it. Wasn’t going to push it hard but once I started I couldn’t help myself. Running it two more times this September.

Amanda and I are leaving tomorrow afternoon for Gatlinburg in the 08 viper. This weekend is the annual Dragon Viper weekend. We’ll be there with ~ 60 other viper owners. Always a great time!

Was just in Maggie Valley and did the Dragon with a bunch of SSR's. Did it in 2013 or so with the POA. Fun times.

Take pics, Steve!

I probably have done it at least 10 times, (maybe 20) some on the Goldwing. I agree with Wildcat, the only scary part are some of the crotch rockets crossing the center line as they come from the other direction. I have seen crotch rockets with young girls on the back, with shorts on and sandals, hauling the mail. The are sitting on a tiny seat, fairly high up.

Hmmmm , for an old man with bad vision and a sketchy memory, that's pretty amazing, Ed ! "Girls on the back, shorts, sandals".... "we were doing 100 MPH down that hill!" haha

Been there a few times on my motorcycle, but not in the Prowler yet. 10 years ago.

We had done it twice on the Goldwing but only once in the red Prowler when we did the Crossville trip. The Dragon isn’t bad if you pay attention but our ride in the Prowler was a bit more challenging because it was late when we got there. they were closing the station when we arrived but they let us in to buy hats and t shirts. When we came out to head back it was getting dark and starting to rain. Hard rain, in the dark, no cell service and by ourselves made for a long ride back. After locking the brakes in one particularly tight curve Mary Anne decided we needed to slow the hell down! Lol. We didn’t get back to Crossville until 9:30 that night. Great memories though.

I believe you pulled into Deals Gap right after we left. We managed to complete the Dragon right before the rain started. I actually preferred running it just before dusk. I could see approaching cars headlight glare well before the car. Came in handy on the blind curves.

Saturday there were hundreds of cyclists on the dragon along with all the bikers and cars. A recipe for disaster, but made it through without issue.
