I ordered these tires on eBay. The first one I ordered only had one in stock so I ordered the second one from another eBay seller. It took a lot of work but finally installed one on the mower. It is actually round with air in it.
I think they came from the same warehouse and must have been on the bottom of the stack. They are Carlisle Tires.

I think I ended up paying $117 for one of my tires. I mentioned the fire method to my wife and she said NO. LOL I couldn't get the gap between the rim and the tire to close up without unseating the other side. I had some 1" backer rod I laid in the gap and it was just enough to make the tire seat, it was my wife's idea. I ordered a tube for the tire in the picture. It is a TORO Z 52 inch cut with a 23 HP Kawasaki with 23 HP. Her new mower is a Ferris IS3200 with 13 hours on it. It has a 61 inch deck. My wife mows about 3 1/2 acres.

Sometimes a rachet strap will work. Put it around the tire and rachet,,, it pushes the beads to the edges,, it works most of the time.

I have been doing the starter fluid and torch for years now,,,, seats the beads in seconds. If you do it,,, do not do it in a building,, do it in open air.

Toro owns Exmark,,, alot of the parts are the same.

Your wife is going to love the Ferris,,, the suspension is awesome,, very comfortable ride.

We have had the Ferris almost five years but she still uses the TORO. THE TORO IS GOING ON 20 years old. She likes the way the TORO stripes. I made a roller many years ago that runs the full length of the mower deck and last fall made one for the Ferris. It satisfies her OSD. LOL

Ahhh,,, I got the timeline now. Toro and Exmark are the best stripers in the market. It's all in the deck design how it lays the grass over. I have 4 Exmarks left now, at one time we ran 8, 2 2nd gens and 2 3rd gens. Basically they are all the same,, all 23 Kawasaki's. The newer ones are now junk, cheapened up on the metal gauge and the motors run so lean because of emissions they don't last.

The TORO has close to 1600 hours on it and the Ferris has 15 on it. I was going to trade the TORO IN ON THE Ferris but they took it to the dealer and checked it out and said they would give me $750 for it. That was almost five years ago, I told them to bring it back. That was the only time it was back to the dealer since it was new 20 years ago.
The Ferris is heavy duty coming in at 1,500 lbs.

Since we’re showing off mowers, lol

I only mow my own 2.5 acres but like a good mower.
So I Ditched the Exmark last year (after about 10 years) before the engine died completely at about 1500 hours.
Bought a BadBoy 61”with 1000cc Kawasaki and HydroGear pump/motors. Thickest deck I could find anywhere and comes with striping kit. This thing is a beast. Looked a Ferris, rides great but too many moving suspension parts. And way more expensive.

My local dealer I bought the TORO and Ferris from stated handling Bad Boy mowers a few years ago. I do all the maintenance on our mowers. I was able to mount that tire in the picture the other day and it wasn't as bad as the first one.

Bad Boy came about from Spartan mowers(ex employees). Spartan was bought by Toro. Small world in the mower world.
I too do all my own work. This one should last me forever. I only put about 50 hrs a year on it.
My nephew mows for a living and has several Ferris machines including the top end one(3300?) with the suspension. I rode it and it was nice but at $7k more than the BB I couldn’t do it.

My Exmark owed me nothing. Bought used at auction for $4k, used it 10 years and sold at same auction for $2100. One motor was weak and the engine was eating pushrods so it was time to go.
