This story REALLY pisses me off. The story leans toward feeling sorry for people having their cars towed that parked there against McDonald's policy. Are you freakin' kidding me???

You parked at McD's and went to another business other than McD's because you cannot find parking at that other business. Now McD's has lost the opportunity to gain revenue from that parking spot and we are supposed to feel sorry for your sorry ass?

NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. You broke the rules, you pay the consequences...period. Such a pathetic liberal slant here.

I do not disagree with you Dano, being one that gets miffed when all spots are filled in a business' lot yet the customer traffic doesn't warrant the cars outside. However, my point would be, if they went in, ate and then went to say a Walgreen's adjacent to the McD to get something and this happened - yes, I would be VERY mad. To your point, if they just went and parked and left - too bad. Obviously they initiated this program for some reason, right?

I have to agree. If you parked knowing that if you were not going to be a McDonalds customer and it was posted you could be towed then you have to suffer the consequences.

I'm sure each state's laws are different,,,but in AZ if a business or the property owner calls for a towing of a vehicle,,,they are the person responsible for the tow bill, not the vehicle owner. It's why in AZ that many businesses will not call for a tow realizing they are the ones responsible for the tow charge. Many times the towing company will again try to collect for the tow from the vehicle owner, but if they are aware of the AZ law, they do not have to pay. If there is daily storage charges, I guess the vehicle owner is responsible for those fees.

In the scenario that you go to McDonald's and eat and then go next door to Walmart or Walgreen's, the spotter most likely would not remember which car you arrived in. They would have to be pretty sharp to remember who came in what vehicle unless it really stood out or the driver really stood out.
