.....Tell the National Guard that they can stand "at ease"....The grocery stores can re-stock their shelves and a case of bottled water won't cost $12 today!

The little old ladies and children have all been accounted for and thankfully, no massive power outages have been reported....The schools have all been delayed or closed today in order to protect our kids....(They're all home today raising Hell and driving their baby sitters crazy)

The local news/weather station meteorologists can now go home after staying up ALL NIGHT while interrupting regular programming to report on the imminent danger faced by the Cincinnati area....

The constant, annoying scroll across the bottom of my TV screen can now stop warning me of my impending doom...

The Saint Bernard's can rest easy as the threat of being buried alive by area avalanches has passed.

Plans to ration the food in our cupboards has thankfully been avoided and traveling on our highways is now possible...

HALLELUJAH!!!!, we SURVIVED!!!!

What am I talkin' about?????

Well, for the past 24 hours the local news couldn't stop warning us about the WINTER STORM WARNING!!! and the dreaded WHITE DEATH that was bearing down mercilessly upon us.....

Being a "concerned" citizen I awoke this morning; found my ruler, and went to my deck to measure the depth of our life threatening snowfall that we had just miraculously survived.....
.
.
.
.

......We got 2 inches.

I hear you....

Snowing today, but yesterday stores were packed with people, shelves are empty, milk and bread flying out the door. Town Supervisor is alerting people to hunker down.

Just checked my wine cellar, enough to get through the storm.

I think we'll survive.

I went to the store yesterday and bought milk & bread.........UH we were out, not that it was going to snow. We did get 6-8" in our area, upper 30's this afternoon and sun out melting a lot of it already. Road in front of house completely clear, but is major state road. Pictures from neighborhood streets still snow covered, but should all be gone tomorrow afternoon.
