Damn Yankees still don't know nuthin' 'bout eating "Southern style".... When I was a kid from Virginia we absolutely loved our peanut butter, banana and mayonnaise sandwiches....

My father was eating that in the 1920s...born and raised in NY with parents off the boat from Italy.... Maybe it was 'southern' Italy! |

My mother used to make those for my big fat brother George born n raised in New Jersey. They blew him up like a balloon. I'm pretty sure that ol southern recipe is what killed Elvis. I think I'll pass on the recipe but will pass this New York tradition on to my friend Alley Cat. |
