Most every great car company has a museum to chronicle its past and to showcase its greatest and most noteworthy products. And until December 2016, those ranks included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, whose Walter P. Chrysler Museum on the grounds of the company’s Auburn Hills, Michigan, headquarters opened to the public in 1999. The museum housed as many as 67 of the company’s more interesting production, concept, and racing cars in a sprawling 55,000-square-foot facility with three floors and a rotating center display tower. The building, says FCA, will now be converted to badly needed office space.

The good news is the company plans to preserve the historic vehicles in the collection, showing them at events and displaying some at various FCA facilities. In the meantime, here are some you might like seeing again plus a few you may have forgotten.

I took a lot of pictures at the Chrysler Museum when I was there for one of the dream cruise. It's a shame they couldn't keep it open.

We certainly enjoyed our visits to the museum. Loved special exhibits and especially the jeep anniversary some years ago.
Thanks for posting the photos

Uncle Lee was wise to build the museum.....Fiat was foolish to shut it down. Makes me very sad....it was a beautiful destination show place that hosted many a fine function.
