I know a lot of teachers move on to jobs that pay better. Here is a link for what teachers are paid in California. Is it a lot or isn't it? People always say they only work 9 months out of the year. Remember this is California usually considered an expensive place to live. |

I believe that teachers in both elementary/middle school and high school here in NW Burbs of Chicago make more than what is stated there, and superintendents make a heck of a lot more - to the point of, overall, being on the extreme HIGH side for what they are producing. Plus, add in al their medical and holiday AND Pensions ... and their summers off ... pretty good gig really. |

I taught for 30+ years when teachers had discipline in the schools and held respect. You could not get me into a classroom today. |
