You cheat .... you pay .... there should be NO "free lunches" for anyone, especially for a role model for today's youth! |

Agreed Gort ... so who is left for today's youth? Singers are mostly vulgar and obscene. Most movie stars have a dark side, and well, no need to speak to our political leaders .... no wonder today's kids, who aren't actively parented, are the way they are! |

The penalties were not due to the crime, but due to the arrogance of not cooperating with the investigation. IMO - 1. Brady got off light. I say 6 to 8 games. |

Come on - really. 1.5 lbs. pressure - does that make the ball go further, less or what. The ball is always touched by an official before the ball is put into play. Nobody noticed it? Can't be really a big deal. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Patriots are on top of their game - others don't like that! Everybody loves to hate Brady and the NE Patriots. |

Cheating is cheating no matter to what degree the infraction. If you get caught cheating in NASCAR you are stripped of the win. I think it's the same in other forms of racing as well. I have read that deflating the ball slightly makes it easier to grip both for throwing and catching. You probably would not notice the difference unless you were doing one or the other. I heard the opposing team notice the deflation after intercepting a pass. I could care less about football in general much less about the New England Patriots. From what I have read he should have been punished. I am not sure if it was stiff enough or not. There was an old TV show called Tony Beretta. He was an undercover cop. The line he used over and over is appropriate here. "If you can't do the time don't do the crime". This message has been edited by BeWare on 05-12-2015 at 10:31 AM |

If you break the rules and you do it in a premeditated manner that is the worst kind of rule to break. In baseball it is cork in the bat, do you see the similarities? I am glad the infraction wasn't during the Super Bowl because I think New England would beat the Colts anyway. |

Isn't this ironic. Brady would return the week of a Patriots-Colts AFC championship rematch in Indianapolis. Backup Jimmy Garoppolo, a 2014 second-round selection from Eastern Illinois who won the Walter Payton award as the best player in the FCS, has thrown 27 NFL passes, including one touchdown. |

I'm with Randy....I think it should have been more. I also think that any player, coach, owner, team, etc. that violates the rules should be punished. Should Brady not be disciplined just because he's Brady? Not the first time the Pats have been disciplined. Not fair to the whole of NFL or any other sport for that matter. |

You know, there USED TO BE a time in this country when people were PRESUMED TO BE INNOCENT until ALL of the evidence and testimony was presented.... I guess we don't need that any more..... |
