I heard on the news Kodak invented one of the first digital cameras. I decided to look it up, and found the following article. It is amazing they are now in bankruptcy.

Kodak

THEY SU*KED, paid 400 for one of their cameras and just after it went out of warranty it went bad, took it to repair shop and for $15 they told me what was wrong but they could not get parts from Kodak to repair it, Kodak wanted (on average $175 to repair) but you never could talk to a real person before sending it in. At that time a new camera with the same pixal was about $200

Bought a new camera ( not a Kodak )and told everyone that they SU*K. Guess enough other people thought the same thing

unfortunatley because of competition Kodak became the Walmart of the photo industry and had to have their cameras made in China in order to compete and with them not beleiving in quality control this is what happens .

Wonder if Kodak still has it's huge plant in Windsor, Co.?

At one time, they employed 3200 workers there, but by 2009 were down to 400 workers.

In 1973 I was a production Engineer for RCA in Lancaster PA making color picture tubes. That plant is long gone.
