It is 23 degrees here right now with a wind chill of 11. It is supposed to get down to 17 with a wind chill of just 5 degrees, then start snowing with a winter storm warning by tomorrow afternoon!

Norm,,, minus 4? I'm taking LasCruces off my list of desirable places to live

Right now, at my place, its 25 degrees but 0 wind. Damn cold for us. 36 years in Phx, worst I've ever seen was 18 degrees once, and 22 once/with lite snow. Are normal for today is 70, but we'll be 20 degrees short of that today.

Its a dry COLD, yes > Dewpoint is -5 degrees at 6:45am.

Can't believe this temperature. We have been living in this area (southern NM) since 1965 and have never experienced this cold.
Only one time did we have an extreme amount of snow 15 inches that caused us to spend the night at work (about 25 years ago).

They don't have the equipment for snow removal, so everything stops here. Yesterday we had 2 - 3 inches of snow and everything
closed down.

But because of the cold , we are experiencing rolling brown outs for the first time ever that we can remember. They say it will
continue today as well.

Good thing the forecast for this weekend is in the 50s.

This was taken yesterday in the afternoon when the temperature was up to 20 degrees.

Local Prowler owner, brother Art P., driving up through Payson, Az. (-2 degrees) yesterday, and traveling over to ShowLow, Az.,,then returning back to Phx. While up on our Rim Country highways, Art reported the roads were sheer ice

Art was on a trip to Taylor, Az. to pick up a load of White Mountains Sandstone, which his daughter's trophy shop uses to make a certain trophy base for one of their business accounts. Art makes this trip every year for the sandstone material gathered there,,,but this time didn't check the road/weather reports beforehand.

He was glad to make it back home, and has scheduled a power washing of the Prowler to get it clean again.

FYI - It doesn't look like this car has front splash guards. You can clearly see the spray pattern on the side of the car.

Stock length splash guards move the pattern down, a lot. Trimmed mats are somewhere in between.

That looks right Bob. I'm thinking Art may have lost the mud flaps when he hit a Bobcat crossing the highway in Oklahoma (true story),,,,or traveling 'off road' some on our last trip on the Arizona Devil's Highway trip, when an on-coming car tried to take Art out of his lane on that dangerous highway. Art was about five feet from seeing if his silver cat could 'fly' off the unprotected drop off, which leaves the road above,, down to a 500 foot drop/landing port,,,, to the bottom of the canyon

We/he dodged a bullet that day!

does that prowler have nerf bars?

I hope he didn't hit any salted roads. The whole underbody would be covered with salt residue
