1- Probably get more salt on your car in Hawaii or Daytona than most places in Canada

2- The name is "Acadian"

3- The car reverenced was not a Chevy II it was just that a chevette. Just a small car.

4- From around 64 to the 70's sometime there were two models of Acadian's as I recall. One was the Acadian Beaumont which was sold up here by Pontiac dealers. It was bascially a Chevelle with different grills. Sort of a cross between the Chevelle and the GTO in appearence but still a chevelle. I had a 64 beaumont then a 65 Chevelle. Both HT's 283's with 4 speeds and LOUD pipes. Fun in those days.
5- The Chevey II's Pontiac brother was called just the Acadian. After marriage sold my 69 Ford Fairlane Cobra with 428 ram air. Managed a drag strip on the Island then so I put it thru the lights a lot. Best was a 13.02 at 101 mph with stock polyester tires they had in those days, for a 67 Acadian HT with 283 auto. It was the same as the Chevey II. On this one it was just grill changes. Sold by Pontiac but all with chev power.

Sort of dates me.

Just did a net search for acadian beaumonts. All models came up including the last model which is shown here.
