Dave:

I own a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8. It's a fabulous ride.
- Unbelieveable get up and go. 425 HP from the factory plus I added a cold air intake.
- Great comfort. Bolstered leather seats keep you in place and warm up nicely.
- Good sight lines. Big car feeling.
- No engineering or maintenance issues. So far the car has been virtually bulletproof.
- Favorable press reviews.
- Expected gas mileage. In fact, I got 25 mpg on the way up to my brother-in-law's wedding in August.

I suggest you give the 300 serious consideration. Best of luck,

Kevin

Dave,

Do you get the diesel engine option for the 300C in the UK ?

In Australia we get both the petrol and diesel engine options.

We do get both options here too.
Diesel seems to be the one to go for.

Hi Dave,I have 2006 SRT 8 With 8k miles.Love it but you have to be on full alert when driving.Lots of power.Wife won't drive it,to much juice.Same gear train as challenger but More room and 4 doors for other to get into.Waiting for Challenger ragtop if they Make one.Only problem I had was slight wine at 55 to 40 when letting OFF gas.. changed out rear end with new one Same problem.Might be a tire problem because Had it aline at dealer. wine was cut in half and can live with it now.Any buddy out there have this wine when letting off gas at 55 T0 40 then wine goes away? Chy distict Rep said Turn up the radio so much for the life time Warr. Goodluck walt

Walt:

That's a new one. I haven't experienced that issue.

However I agree it packs a boat-load of power. My wife is also afraid to drive it. Fine by me........

Kevin,I forgot to say that the Gas mileage is better then what I taught it would be.Also I heard it has an Mer.benz trans and as you know no dip stick for trans.Has alot of brake dust .does yours?Hows your tires wearing? With 8k miles mine are half way gone. Not to happy. My wheel alinement has been off from the start.Back tires are fine.Have you notice the tilt of the front tires when turn hard left or right in your drive way? Keep in touch. Walt email odegreen@hotmail.com Car color dark gray met.Chy family 25 years

I have a 2007 SRT/DESIGN and have to say it is by far a fantastic car, great power, good gas mileage, super comfort/ride. The best feature is the lifetime power train warranty. Have had some issue with the tranny but that is the only flaw we have found to date. Buy one you'll love it!
