Not counting Henry Ford coming out with the first production line, what year did cars change the most?

1955 was pretty revolutionary as far as body styles for the Fords and Chevies.
What big change did you see for what year?

It had to have been 1955 for me. Dad gave me a choice of a '55 Chevy or Ford. I took the Ford Sunliner. Loved that car. This picture was taken at Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX.

I always kinda thought the late 40's when cars went to the slab sided look, no more bulging fenders....also, it was about that time Oldsmobile became performance oriented, and many consider the 49 Rocket 88 the first muscle car

1975 - that was the first year of federally mandated fuel economy and emission standards and the beginning of 10 years of awful to mediocore American cars.
